I have had my Aerogarden Classic for going on 2 years now, I've kept a kit in it this whole time, and I just couldn't live without it. I've grown herb gardens, flowers, salad greens, and now I have a cherry tomato kit growing in it. It has so many tomatos on the plants I've had to tie them up with pantyhose to keep the plants upright! The Aerogarden Classic does an amazing job growing plants, I've always had lush gardens that tried to outgrow this device every time. However, it does have some cons, the pump has a habit of becoming very loud or shutting down completely. This problem has been fixed with the newer models, and the Aerogrow company is wonderful in replacing your pump for free if a problem develops. I had to go through 4 pumps before I got one that worked correctly, but they sent them free, free shipping and all. They are a great company, and their newer models of the Aerogarden are FANTASTIC, I have one of those as well full of salad greens. The Aerogarden Classic is a fabulous...
...

I received an elite 6 Aerogardenfor christmas. I must admit it is fun to watch and all my herbhersbs have grown. Negatively is the cost of the supplement and replacement products. Absolutely ridiculous! They are making a killing. Also, the herbs packaged with the Aerogardenn Elite 6 would not be my choice. The best growing is dill which I do not use. The worst is chives which are so pathetic after months you couldn't even decorate a plate with them. The thyme, oregano and mint are doing well and it is nice to have fresh herbs on hand. The unit is attractive and looks nice in your kitchen, but I think the company could make using it after initial purchase much less costly.
...

I received an AeroGarden as a Christmas present .. put in the pods on Xmas day and my herb garden is already sprouting !! I can't wait until we have fresh herbs. The only thing I wish I would have done was perhaps added in a pod or two of a veggie. I didn't realize at the time I could have done that...after reading several different websites with reviews I'll try it the next set of pods. Ask me in a few weeks how I still like the AeroGarden!...

I purchased the Aero Garden about a week ago. I was hoping I would get some tomato seeds that came with it but all I got was herbs. This was fine with me but Herbs are the easiest plant to grow, they can take the abuse of not watering as often as they should as long as you have them in good soil. Me being a tomato lover, I decided to take a few cherry tomato seeds I had from the previous summer and planted them in the same pods that came with the grower. To my amazement, The tomatoes have come up with the other herbs. I guess you could say I am getting two for the price of one! This product is great for the beginning Gardner or someone who lives in an apartment (like me) that doesn't have the back yard to plant anything. I was using an outdoor cooker to grow my garden, now that I have this thing, I will be able to grow tomatoes year round. I am going to try some other things to grow in this thing later when spring time comes around, like Cucumbers, small watermelon, the possibilities...
...

Aerogarden = So easy! Set-up took about 15 minutes. I am by nature very thorough so I made sure to read and re-read the manual. Within days of planting I was growing herbs! The fastest growing listed in order are the Italian Basil, Purple Basil, Chives, Thyme, Dill, Mint and then last but not least Parsley. Once the Chives sprout they are definately the quickest growing. It's bee just 2 weeks now and many of my herbs around around 2 inches tall. I can't wait to start harvesting them. The growing guide does say the lower water and low nutrient lights will go off after 2 weeks but mine didnt come on so I filled up the water and added the nutrients right on 2 weeks instead of waiting for the lights. Seems to have done a world of good because when I woke up this morning I had a ginormouse basil leaf! Good quality machine, great price. It's quiet and the grower guide steps you through all maintenance of plants and machine....

I just bought 2 aero garden minis yesterday and I am so excited! When I got home I put it together which was so easy to do!!! I planted my salad green lettuce seeds in one and red heirloom tomatoes in the other. The salad greens were due to begin to grow between 1 and 3 days and I can see the sprouts already! I find the sound of the water lightly trickling to be very peaceful like the sound of a small stream or one of those inside rock and water fountains that were so popular not to long ago. I can not wait to taste what I have grown. I have to wait just 3 short weeks for lettuce & 3 months for tomatoes but I'm good with that! Imagine salads with no pesticides! Just fresh off the vine! Growing up in New York City, I have never had the pleasure of picking a tomato off the vine and eating it and now I will! I can't wait!...

Stuffyerface says "Basil, basil, everywhere" about Aero Garden

Dearly love the garden on the table, my Aerogarden named BoBo. We were looking for something to keep the basil plants alive longer than 3 days. I got so sick of paying $4 for a basil plant that would not live beyond a few hours. The first harvest I got way more basil than humanly possible. But the other herbs were great too-mint, and chives, and fresh rosemary-it was so nice not having to worry about everything dying in the FL sun, or being covered in bugs.

Follow all directions carefully on the unit. If you raise up the lights too fast to accommodate the basil, then basil will be all you get. The other herbs all died rapidly, and we called customer service to try and figure out the issue. They were fantastic, tirelessly gave us tips to zero in that it was a new pump float we needed. They sent one out the next day, gratis.

This will be our 3rd harvest, and I'm excited to attempt peppers next. Keep in mind that the thing needs the lights on and water to grow. We moved...
...

I really like the Aero Garden but the kit came with some chives and other things to grow. WEll I did as it asked and I filled it with water and kept the level as it suggested when it suggested and used the food it came with. but I used all 6 pods and I only got 3 stems of chives. the other things did not grow. I was disapointed. But I did take some Watercress from the market and it had the roots on it. I cut off the cress and divided the roots and I put them in the pods and placed in the Aero Garden. I was able to regrow watercress. It was good and it was a surprise. problem is it would only grow for one cuttings. I need to replace the roots....

I received my Aerogarden as a gift from my dad, as he has witnessed my multiple failed attempts to start herb gardens in the past. These herbs are very difficult for me to kill -- in fact the main major die-off occurred during a move, when the garden was unplugged and shuttled around for a few days.

Anyway, the herbs are great and I sometimes have so many that I don't know what to do with them! Caring for them is easy enough and since it's an indoor garden, you don't have to worry about bad weather or bugs.

My garden was about a year and a half old when I noticed smoke coming out the back of it where the cord inserts into the hood. I immediately contacted the company, who expressed genuine concern and shipped a new garden to me (free!) within a week. They also paid for me to send my defective garden back to them so that their engineers could figure out what happened and prevent it from occurring again. Thanks Aerogarden!
...

We've had our AeroGarden for just over 30 days now, our first seed kit planted was the Salad Greens kit. At first, we were a bit skeptical but after 30 days were very impressed with it's energy effeciency (using less than a 60w light bulb). We are so impressed with it, that we've purchased a second AeroGarden. Also my wife has started writing a daily blog about our experiences with the AeroGarden....

I got the aerogarden and loved it right away. I love having fresh herbs. It is so simple to use and takes very little time. I love the fact that it has indicators to let you know when to water and give nutrients. It takes all the guess work away. It is very easy to assemble and all you have to do is put the seed pods in, fill to water level, add nutrients, and set the aerogarden to what you are growing. Its that easy. Also you have less to do as far as gardening chores. It totally cuts all those back breaking chores out. Which is lovely. You get to have your fresh herbs right in your kitchen without having to go outside to pick them. It also cuts out the need to wash them once you cut them. Also, you can grow just about anything in your aerogarden. For those avid gardeners like me, you start your vegetables inside in your aerogarden and then transplant in your outside garden. The gardeners kit that you get separately, it is great! I also like the way it also stands in for a night light...
...
