Advantage Flea controller is a great dog treatment. I use it monthly to keep the fleas away. While it is a bit pricey it does work great. I would pay the price for the result. It works in 24hours and keeps the fleas away for a month at a time. When it is bought it has four to five treatments in the package. This is the prefect treatment for dogs who are allergic to fleas. Doesn't have a awful smell to it either. The application is easy to use on dogs if done right.Works so fast that I don't have to worry about my son getting bitten by the fleas. Has an applications for all size dogs. There haven't been any side effects by both dog and people that have been noticable. Do need to keep small children away from dog(s) for a while till the application has time to dry as a precaution.

Advantage Flea Control

I have been using Advantage for years and it has never failed me! It works great, you only have to apply it once a month to your cats or dogs, and you never need to worry about fleas again.

I have two cats and a dog, and began to wonder how I would afford this product, as it can be very expensive from the vet's office. I began searching around and noticed that this product is sold in mass quantity on ebay. At first I only bought the brand new packages that looked essentially the same as what you would pick up at the vets. I was saving $35-$40 a month so this was more then fine with me. Then I figured out how they are selling the product in bulk and realized I could save more then twice that amount, by simply purchasing one large tube of advantage. By using the handy syringe applicator and dosage guidelines with this larger tube, I have saved a bundle. My pets are happy and my wallet is happy too!

I normally purchase Advantage (four month supply at a time) through my Vet's office at $61.00 + tax as this is an excellent product. My dog is not bothered by fleas using this product. No more scratching or biting for her! I found it on-line at PetRX for $45.26 for a four month supply. Great deal & came with a $5.00 coupon for my next purchase. Take care of your pet and no need to spend a fortune....

once a moth application trhu her coats, smelly but does keep away flees.

please keep your hand of my coats for a while, advantage is working to kill these pestering flees..

especially needed for walking in the park or dog park, those flees are notorius...

When we moved go Florida 8 years ago I was warned to be prepared for an infestation of fleas since I have two large dogs.

I have never found a single flea on either one of my dogs. I apply it to my younger dog every month, but to my senior dog I apply it every 2 or 3 months and still have not had a problem.

If you also have a problem with ticks you will need to use something else to control them.

I have tried many other flea products out there and Advantage is the only one the seems to completely work for my dogs. I have used flea soaps, dips, store brand flea applications as well as vet brands and I always go back to Advantage. My dogs get instant relief and it last all month. I would recommend this to any one needing to get fleas under control. ...

It is great to have a product that takes care of everything with only one application! Advantage is the fastest to kill fleas, and therefore in my opinion the best at killing fleas! The best thing about this product though is that it not only does fleas and heartworms, but it also prevents intestinal parasites!! There is no other topical that does that. It is a little more pricey, but when you consider all that it does, if you were to buy different products to take care of them all it would be way more expensive....

I have used Advantage for about 6 months, and it works great! There have been no fleas on my cat, or even in the house. I am not sure if it protects the WHOLE yard because I have a pretty large yard. But I am sure everywhere he goes, lays, or plays, there aren't any fleas or ticks, at least the few places that I have been. If there are, they don't come in with him. He does not scratch at all, therefore, he is much, much happier. It would be very vacuous to have little fleas crawling all over you....

I believe this is the brand we used that protects against fleas and worms but not ticks. It has worked well as a preventative (not made for use as a treatment for worms) and flea treatment. While it works well and quickly it can be pricey. We also had a problem with the smell that seemed to stay on the dog for at least a week. Since he visits people as a working dog we want him to be as approachable as possible and the smell was a negative for us. If your dog isn't a snuggler it probably won't be a big issue for you.

Overall it did it's job and we would use the product again.

This product is great for treating and preventing fleas. I live in Florida where the fleas are jumping all year round. This product was reccommended to me by my vet. It worked to rid fleas in 1 or 2 days. My dog was a stray and had a huge infestation problem. This cleared it right up. One word of caution though, be careful if you live with cats or children. I was advised to keep both away from the dog once he had the medicine on his back. It substance has the potential to kill cats and harm children (only in large doses though). It is very easy to apply on the back and the packaging is great as well....

I was having a problem with fleas. I adopted my two retired racing greyhounds and promptly put them on frontline. Every month since October and February, I put Frontline on both my dogs. Then, when the summer hit, we were infested with fleas! I started giving baths every month in addition to the Frontline, and nothing helped. As soon as I switched to Advantage, the fleas were greatly diminished in about a week, and all but gone within two. Now at three weeks, we are blissfully flea free.

Advantage was less expensive to purchase than other name-brand flea and tick preventatives, and was very easy to use. I would highly recommend it to every animal lover, especially when nothing else will work.

I have owned or been working with dogs for the last 10 years and more closely in the last 2 years. When I first owned dogs they didn't have any treatments like this and we were using flea colors, garlic pills and baths. It just didn't seem to help. Our dogs would still be itchy.

The first dog I used Advantage on had developed a skin allergy due to fleas. When we started the treatment, you noticed less scratching the very first day! And within a month his skin was getting better and his hair wasn't falling out anymore. I also never saw a flea a week after starting the treatment! His coat got more shiny and healthy.

Ever since then I've used Advantage on every dog and I recommend it to everyone. My pets are just happier with it and I still haven't seen a flea in the house. Plus I can trust that when I take them to dog parks where there might be fleas, they'll die shortly and won't become an infestation....
