I purchased an acer laptop this past summer and I am already having problems with it. I previously owned an HP which I must tell you was worth the money I paid for it. This acer does have nice features, including a large high resolution screen,a built in webcam, nice, attractive casing. I don't like how the keys are set on this computer, and often place my hands on the wrong key. I paid approximately 500 dollars for this computer, because I needed a new computer right away. The horrible thing is that the computer only had a Microsoft Vista trial so after 90 days I had to purchase the program, which by the way increased the value of the computer by 150 dollars. Also, it will shut off on me for no obvious reason. Mind you, this is not because the computer is not active it is when I using it. This make me extremely angry, because if I don't actually lose what i was working on, I have to restart the computer again, and wait for the program to reload before I can actually finish what I was working...

My husband received this lap top free at a builder show and gave it to me. I was very excited about the compact size. I mainly use the computer for surfing the internet, blogging, email, etc. I love this computer for that reason. If you are needed one for primarily internet it is a good computer. It does not have a lot of memory. I save a lot of pictures and I had the internal memory full pretty fast on this computer. It did come with an 8 GB memory card, which is great and I have learned I need to save the majority of my work on it. I love the built in card reader. It has been a life saver for blogging since I upload so many pictures. The battery life on this lap top is awesome. It's much better than my husband's Dell. The processor is slow but very battery efficient. I wish it did have more storage on the hard drive. I have been overall satisfied with the lapton. Also, it takes some time to get use to loading software wtihout a cd drive.

23 months ago I bought the Acer 5920, saved for 8 months, on a fixed income. It was all I could afford to buy the computor, MSN rated one of ten best under 1000, I was very happy with the computor and recommended to many friends who also bought it or the 6920. I was just playing a game from a disk and the MOTHERBOARD went pop. And it was toast. Here is the important part. They want $327. just for the part. Another 80 to install. Being on a fixed income, this is out of the question and totally unreasonable. I really loved my Acer. But now it would be cheaper to purchase an HP for 300 new at walmart and pay the 59 dollar two year warranty. I just wish then I would have had the money for the extended warranty to cover the part. On the Acer guy website, people are complaining that Acer is not honoring fried motherboards on warranty, Why?, and why so expensive in todays economy? You cannot even talk to a person at Acer. You put in your snid number, and it says "Out of warranty sorry" goodbye......

When my dad told me that he got me an Acer laptop, I was really scared because I did some research on the brand and I found that a lot of people have issues with it. When I got it, I was really happy with the beautiful keyboard and how easy it was to use. The Acer Aspire 5517 is a great buy. I only had it for about a month but that is the amount of time that people say that they send it right back because of problems. I really enjoy using it. I'm young, so I don't know a lot about spec's but this laptop is pretty good! The screen is super hi-res and Vista is standard. Also, you get a free Windows 7 upgrade which is pretty awesome. Any problems I had was because of my carelessness and they were easily resolved. I'm on the laptop now and I love it!

I was told that Acer is an up and coming brand of laptop. I bought this one because of the good report. I should have waited for a better time, but I was in a hurry, and so I took the advice about "the up and coming Acer." I am not disappointed at all, although it may seem that I don't like this laptop. It is fine for use apart from my desktop. And it is good for traveling. Since I use my computers for business purposes, though, I should have waited to buy a business laptop. If you have any children is school this is a good choice. It easily will meet with your students needs. It is also good for playing games for your young ones. I added memory and that was a good benefit. I can use this in some venues for my employment but I really do need a more productive laptop for my business needs. I do believe that Acer is an up and coming brand, and this is suitable for simple applications.

Acer laptop mini netbook. Small but deriable. It comes in many colors such as pink blue and black. It has a small screen but the screen has a nice display. It has a bulit in mic that works just as good as a regular mic. The webcam well it freezes alot and dont have that good of a picture. I tryed it on yahoo it freezes up alot when i have just one person veiwing it but it i have many it dont. I was really weird. The keyboard is very small but if you have a blackberry or any other pda phone it should be hard at all. Lets see there is no cd drive but now a days you can pretty much download any software on the internet for free or for a low price. But if you rather use a cd you can get a portable disk drive for no more then 80 or 85 dollors in the store. My experice I think this laptop works alot better and faster then a desktop computer because my husband has one and my little laptop works alot better then his does. This laptop is very light and you can take it anywhere. Honestly this...

I love acre laptops iv had 3 diff ones and they all worked great never had any problems there very afordable and packed with things like webcams and mics not alot of laptops have that there nice looking and lighter than other laptops if your looking for a laptop you will never go wrong buying a laptop

I love ,my acer aspire5515 the price is right . It has a web cam on it movie maker in all. Its fast and easy to use. Am not a pc person but this has made me wont me to get on the pc all the time. Acer Aspire 5515 is nice to have in the house. My kids can use my acer it is that easy to use. We make movies and send them to friends and family. I will tell anyone to use acer laptops. They will fit in your budget and wont break your pockets.

I have an Acer Aspire 4720z, and I love it. It is my first laptop, but my sister has an HP, which I thought was supposed to be the best. I did not buy an HP because I couldn't afford one. I bought an Acer instead because it was cheaper, but now I love it! I think it is much better than my sister's HP. It has a better design, look and feel. It has better features. It is fast and reliable, and I NEVER have technical problems with it. The price is great, and it is not "cheap" quality. I will definately buy an Acer again. Also, the customer service is spectacular....

My Acer Laptop is great. It is easy to use and very compact and convenient so that I can take it anywhere. I can check my email, look up information, talk to family members and friends, and even check grocery ads. I can write letters, make greeting cards, print photos or just about anything from my Acer Laptop I use it everyday and it is truly my lifeline.

The Acer Laptop stood up to my expectations. It's very sleek and doesn't look bad just sitting out on a desk. It's fast and affordable. I'm positively sure i have nothing but good praise for this product I say go get one today! it is very fast, i was on the internet yesterday and it was going even faster than my hp pavillion, now that surprised me! I put vista in mine, it works soooo good, better than my computer does with vista. If you like vista but your so frusterated that it won't work try this laptop and i'm sure you'll be satisfied....
