I have owned my Acer Aspire for about one and a half years. I wanted it for a backup to my PC. It has been a great backup. I have used it for traveling and at home. I have worked on the internet, and the Acer is better than my PC. The Acer laptop is so reliable that I have begun using it regularly. Uploading and downloading is quick, and the usual tasks (accessing websites) is great, The is the first laptop that I have owned, and I would not hesitate to buy an Acer again. When I was in the store purchasing this Acer laptop, another customer said that Acer is an up and coming business and that their products, including my laptop, is a good product. I totally agree with his assessment.

The Acer Aspire has all the features I need, at a price I could afford. I have been using it for three months now with very few problems and when I do have a problem the help menus that came with windows vista home premium alway come through. I am a student, so it is important that I have the capabilities that this model offers.

The Acer Aspire#7730Z is a dream machine with a 17" screen and great performance and power. My first computer was a Dell Inspiron which everyone told me was the best. It was a great little laptop with silver keyboard which was very easy to see. I bought it in Dec.2008 and since then it has been in the shop three times, once because the hard drive was fried. I was shocked. I have spent more on repairs on that machine than I paid for it. But my beautiful Acer which I got in April has never let me down. I can keep it on all day and night without any problems. It will take all types of programs without any problems unlike the tempermental Dell. The Ac er will even play the radio while I am doing the mail or any other functions on the computer.I always thought that a computer had to be one of the so-called named brands to be good; but boy was I wrong. I never had heard of Acer before but a friend of mine talked me into buying this baby and am I glad he did. This is a real work horse and has...

I love my Acer laptop computer! It is so convenient to travel with or carry anywhere for that matter. It fits in an oversized purse. It is very reasonably priced. It does everything that a regular size laptop does exept for it doesnt have a disc drive. That has to be purchased seperately. It as great starter computer for teens or college students also.

I recently purchased the Acer Aspire laptop looking for something affordable but also of good quality. I was pleasantly surprised by the great quality of the Acer laptop. Tons of storage space and super fast- 2GB Ram with 4GB hard drive which is partitioned. The screen is a nice widescreen, 17 inches, with amazing picture quality. There is also built in Dolby Digital surrond sound...just like being in a movie theatre! Comes pre-loaded with some great software, but also with some useless software which is easy to remove. You will need to back everything up to disks, which are not included. Back up to DVD took 3 disks, before removing any software. The laptop also comes with built in WiFi, the standard USB slots, and a 54 Express slot. Graphics and speed are top notch. The usual free trial of Microsoft Office is included and believe it or not Microsoft Vista is not as bad as it's made out to be....just run the patches first. Overall I give this laptop 2 satisfied thumbs up.

I was in the market to buy a new laptop but didn't want to spend alot of money. My 2 previous laptops were used and served their purpose, but I was ready to move on and up. Looking at all the different types was making my head spin. So may features and so many different prices. I did alot of comparisons and decided on the Acer Aspire after finding out it had everything I wanted in a laptop. The Acer Aspire has a large clear screen, with a webcam built in. The webcam was actually very good. Although I wasn't crazy about Vista after all the bad press, I found it really wasn't bad at all. The Acer Aspire was easy to set up and gives my everything I need. Plus the price was great, only $499....

My husband bought us an Acer Aspire 6930 and it does everything I need it to do, such as email, uploading and downloading, surfing the web and much, much more. If your looking for a laptop thats not very expensive and looks nice and does everyday tasks with no problem and easy to use this is the laptop for you.

My husband purchased two laptops last year when he got his SSD settlement. They were on sale at Wal-Mart for $499.95 each and came loaded with Windows Vista. The Acer Aspire laptop is a nice laptop for those technologically challenged, such as my husband. Once we both used Windows Vista for a few weeks, we both decided we did not like it and so had both laptops reformatted and Windows XP installed as the Operating System. The Acer laptop is not too heavy and is relatively easy to use. If there comes a time where I need a new laptop, I will most likely look at the newest Acer laptops and probably purchase an Acer if the price and OS are right.

My Acer Aspire 1500 lasted 1.5 year. The motherboard fried. I found it to be a common problem. The price was great but it for a bit more I purchased a more reliable brand.

I was fortunate enough to be in a department store that was trying to get rid of some merchandise to make room for "updated items" I got my Acer laptop for next to nothing. Considering the warranty value is 115% higher than what I actually paid for it. Sure it is not the for sure model that I really wanted but, saving several hundred dollars will do that for you. I am sure that when I do decide to upgrade my laptop, I will continue to stick with the Acer brand. I know the name is not as popular as some of the others, yet the features a strikingly similiar and the price as noticably lower than the other brands. I marvel at how light my laptop is. It is compact and extremely easy to use. I carry it almost everywhere. When I show others all of the features my Acer laptop actually have, they are amazed that it has all the capabilities that it does. It feels me with pride to know that I am the envy of so many for snagging such a great deal on an awesome laptop.

My primary decision to buy my first Acer laptop was price. Two years ago I dropped it from tabletop height it still worked fine, with the exception that the fall damaged the monitor frame and it can no longer close. My son informed me that he had seen laptop computers destroyed by lesser falls, and was amazed that there was no damage to circuit boards or the drives. This computer is still used daily by my daughter, and I bought myself a new Acer Aspire.

My new computer is an Aspire 4730Z has better speakers than my older one, but still somewhat lacking in sound quality, but that is the only downside I have found with these computers.

I love the quality of the image on the screen, it is very sharp and I don't strain my eyes when working on website design for hours on end.

I'm not a techie so I can't talk at length about RAM and ROM and whatever else, but this computer will do all I need it to do.

The acer aspire laptop is a great well rounded and very afordable machine that is perfect for most all business and personal computer tasks. I am very happy with mine and there customer service and warranty work is good. Their techs are very helpful....
