Duff & the crew never cease to amaze me w/the cakes they make every week. They are talented. I wish I had the gift to decorate cakes like they do. My favorite of all time was the library cart. It was simply amazing!

Ace of Cakes is quite possibly one of the best combinations of reality t.v. I have ever seen. You could say it was a mix of reality t.v., the Martha Stewart Show, and food network challenge. In essence beautiful cakes with a spark... literally. Chef Duff and his fellow cake makers are hilarious to watch. They are witty, fun loving, and kinda cooky. The show revolves around the completion of cake orders that are anything but ordinary. One week they are making a Hogwart Castle cake for the primer of a Harry Potter movie and another day they are making a cake in the form of a cat. Over all this show is great and something the whole family can watch.

Here is a list of some of the other types of cakes they have done.

A sushi platter complete with bowls and chop sticks.

A bowl of popcorn that looked incredibly real ( much like the majority of the cakes they take on )

A spooky zombie Halloween inspired wedding cake with a zombie bride and groom.

I consider myself an above-average cook, but I. DO. NOT. BAKE. I don't do cookies, cakes, breads, etc. Still, I've found myself hooked on watching The Food Network lately, and I've recently discovered Ace of Cakes.

The "Ace of Cakes" is Duff Goldman and he owns Charm City Cakes in Baltimore, MD. The show follows Duff and his many employees (bakers, cake artists, etc) as they work each week to create whatever wacky cakes (bulldog, Florence waterfront, pizza, Star Wars helmet, a heart complete with arteries and veins, etc) that customers have ordered that week. Not only is it interesting to watch the employees research, plan, and create the cake, but they are a diverse group of people who are really entertaining and often funny to watch. I love their dry sense of humor as I have on myself.

I couldn't make homemade chocolate chip cookies if I spent the day attempting such a feat, but I do really enjoy watching Duff's cast of characters (and Duff himself) work to complete each...

Ace of Cakes is a great show! They are so creative and good at what they do! I only wish I was half as talented as some of the bakers and decorators on the show! After watching it I always want to go straight to the kitchen and try to make some fantastic cake, knowing it won't be quite the cake they would make! They all seem to have such a good friendship and really get along! They are a great team!

The night sky they did was awesome. It seems like a really cool place to work...the best one they ever did was for the Big Lebowski party, complete with a White Russian on top. I record it and watch later, but it is definitely worth checking out if you haven't seen it....

One of the best food channels programs. Where they get there cake ideas is really interesting and entertaining. You have to laugh at the way they get their cakes to work out the way they want them to. Everyone is very talented....

I love this show because of the amazing level of artistic talent that goes into each and every cake they bake. And not only the artistic but the creative way they solve different obstacles. I also think they are a really entertaining group of obviously electic individuals. This show is so unique. I can actually watch cakes being made and not be made hungry because I am so engrossed in the artistic and creative process....

If you love desserts, especially desserts to the extreme, this is a great show. This show on Food Network is all about cakes and the great bakers that make them. The show surrounds the workers at Charm City Cakes led by the boss Duff who is not only a great Food Network chef, but he loves to make cakes. He doesn't just make cakes, he makes extreme cakes. Ever wonder what would happen if you stuck a firecracker in a cake? What about making a lighthouse cake that really lights up? These are just two of the cakes Duff and his crew has created. They make rich and decadent cakes for every occasion. I love seeing what they will come up with next.
