Purchased AVG Internet Security Suite, the "Iron clad security that does't slow your system down". Slowed my system to a crawl. This is a 4 G Vista system. Program was constantly scanning. Despite the scheduled scans, it scanned constantly. Shut the scan down, it would start again. Over two week period I have emailed the 24/7 support center four times. All I received was a computer generated msg acknowlegeing my email, not a word from a real human. Buyer beware! If you have a problem, you have no, nada, zero support!...

AVG 7 Free was the worst thing I could have ever downloaded and put on my computer. It runs a scan on startup that takes up 90-99% of your process power, slowing computers down to near death. This has happened on Four different PCs, three of which are not my own. The only upside to this was that it was free and easy to get rid of....

It works pretty well, for an anti-virus scanner thats free. This is one of the first few programs I always install on a fresh computer....

AVG antivirus is the best that I have found. It doesn't slow down your computer (as long as your not using the firewall portion). It has an automated updates and scheduled scans and it is easy to use. I always recommend this antivirus to all my friends and clients. I have used it and compared it to McAfee and Trend Micro Office scan and it beats both of them hands down. (AVG found viruses that the other two missed!). I've tested it on machines at my work (I work in education) as well as at home and I don't think it can be beat. The latest version has spyware detection and a firewall. However, I recommend against the firewall unless you really know what you are doing as it has blocked access to some needed areas....

After purchasing a competitors software for spyware, one of the IT guys taught me about AGV free. I love it!!! I have both the AGV free & the AGV spyware & they keep my system running smoothly. I didnt renew my other spyware. Why bother to fill their pockets when you can get this quality software free. When its recommended by professionals in the field over other software, thats a great endorsment in my opinion.

The latest Version of AVG free antivirus is a excellent value. It does real time scanning, email scanning, ahd gives you automatic updates. It does all this with a much smaller drain on the system Resouces the Norton or Macfee. I definitly suggest it if you are running an old computer as the other two Antiviruses can bring older computers to a crawl. I believe a n antivirus is a program that should protect a Computer without draining all the resources while doing it and AVG free fits the bill....

Avg is the best virus protection you can get for free. I know it works because it caught a Trojan Horse back door virus and eliminated it. I would recommend everyone to get this free download. AVG automatically updates and scans email. It works wonders with the computer and the best thing of all IT'S FREE....

AVG's free anti-virus program is just simply the best. It works in the background without being obtrusive and using up my computer's resources. The control panel is easy to use and informative. I have bought and used other anti-virus software in the past. Most were adequate but they eventually became costly and charged for updates. AVG has free updates and is the one I would recomend to anyone. The best thing about it...it's Free!...

I have had AVG for about 2 and 1/2 years. I have not had a virus since (knock on wood). I have put it on my friends and my in-laws computers as well. The free version does not have a firewall or spyware but I've installed other free versions of those to. My computer is virus free and I recommend AVF free edition to everyone....

A friend of mine, who is a computer "geek", told me about this and downloaded it into my computer. I had Norton Anti-virus before and every time it was time to re-new the price would go up. I have had AVG on my computer for several years now and have never had any type of virus. My son recently bought a laptop and the first thing I did for him was download AVG. I also subscribe to a computer newsletter written by a lady who builds and repairs computers. She highly recommends AVG also....

I have had AVG Antivirus for awhile now and can honestly say it delivers. I don't understand while anybody would pay for antivirus software when theres AVG, an effective easy to use antivirus program. If your looking for an antivirus program that will work and prevent malicious activity on your computer, go with AVG. Dont spend money on norton. Norton will slow your computer WAY done and McAfee just blows period. McAfee seemed ineffective when i used it....
