      <description>&lt;p&gt;We tried ATT uverse from Cox Cable (internet only, we watch TV on Hulu).&#160; I thought the fiber optic would be faster but I was&#160; wrong.&#160; The service was intermitant and I would have to reset the router every day once or twice.&#160; I went back to Cox and upgraded to the fastest service available and have not had a problem since.&#160; I can now watch Hulu in HD.&#160; I don't know why I ever tried the ATT service.&#160; Just for trying out the ATT internet I got a $300 dollar bill after sending back the router.&#160; What a gype.&lt;/p&gt;... </description>

      <description>&lt;p&gt;Please, DO NOT SUBSCRIBE TO U VERSE.&#160; Terrible customer service, 2 missed days of work with no shows from Technicians.&#160; Home phone still out of service for three weeks now after installation of U Verse.&#160; You can only watch two HD programs even though I have service for three televisions.&#160; I was originally under the impression from their advertisement that four programs could be watched at the same time.&#160; Who would be interested in recording or watching anything other than HD?&#160; As soon as possible we are dumping this horrible product and going back to Direct TV.&lt;/p&gt;... </description>

&lt;p&gt;I live in Atlanta but moved here from Chicago.&#160; Comcast is King in Chicago so I knew them well, including all of the issues.&#160; It wasn't until last year when I moved into an apartment with u-verse options that I decided to&#160;try it out.&#160;&#160;After having service for over a year, I tell you nothing beats the quality.&#160; The picture is so clear that even without an HD model TV you can see the difference.&#160; To see this after being with Comcast was definitely impressive.&#160; Of course, it can't be all good though.&#160; AT&amp;amp;T has no offices/centers so all communication is over the phone.&#160; The level of intelligence of the representatives is a crap shoot.&#160; Some people are able to help you while others are obviously just there to collect a pay check.&#160; This matters, especially in the beginning.&#160; At&amp;amp;T needs at least 4-6 hours to install the&#160;product and there is a lot of tweaking performed to make get the picture quality to such a high level in the first place.&#160; This is difficult...&lt;/p&gt;... </description>

      <description>&lt;p&gt;Uverse as a new company is totally incompetent. I have been dealing with problems ever since i switched from direct TV. We had to have&#160; a specialty tech come in 5 times to get things working. We have two lines, they lost the number of one of the lines and its been 6 weeks and they still cant find it or repair it (gave me the wrong phone number). They function independently from ATT and they just dont communicate with each other. Every appointment they have made they had to reschedule because they dont get permission from one company to the other. I would think twice before switching to Uverse.&lt;/p&gt;... </description>

      <description>My Boyfriend told me one day we were getting the AT&amp;amp;T UVerse, I had never heard of it, and idnt't really care either way. I have never been one to notice a difference between HDTV's vs. regular. We don't have any HD's but I'm telling you one thing, once you see the your picture quality on a regular TV with UVerse, you will want to go out and get the top of the line HD to go with your amazing picture. My mind was blown the first time i sat down to to use it, I'm still finding new features and tricks that make me fall in love all over. I'm not a tech-savvy kind of girl or even a big TV fan but I will shout on the roof tops for UVerse, if you can get it, GET IT!!

Oh, and our basic internet is faster than the highest speed TimeWarner Cable offered.... </description>

      <description>&lt;p&gt;Frequently shows are interrupted at our house because UVerse freezes, locks up and skips segments of shows. This is the worst, most frustrating service we've EVER had. We NEVER had problems like this with Comcast. We can rarely watch a recorded show because it's constantly interrupted and it skips, so you never quite know what you missed.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;&#160;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;If we dare call for help, we're sure to speak with a rep in another country and definitely are guaranteed to sit on hold or if we are able to speak with a rep, we have to continuously&#160;repeat&#160;our issue-mode for at least an hour. We'd love to have&#160;any of our technical issues resolved, but my husband is a vp with a large company and I am a teacher.. leaving us zero time to devote to the required hours of wasted time on the phone.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;&#160;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;The only reason we got AT&amp;amp;T was that I wanted an iPhone, which I love, it's the carrier and service that I completely loathe.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;&#160;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Installing the service was a nightmare because the tech spent 8 hours installing wires &amp;amp;&#160;cables...&lt;/p&gt;... </description>

That was the only unpleasant part of the transition. The Cox representative was very pushy and said I would regret switching while they bashed u-verse and said &quot;you'll be back&quot;. Well nothing he said about u-verse turned out to be true and I'm never going back to cox!&#160;&lt;/p&gt;... </description>

      <description>&lt;p&gt;I read the reviews.&#160; I spoke with my friends that had horror stories with the installation process with ATT Uverse.&#160; So,&#160;after much trepidation, I switched from Dish Network to ATT Uverse.&#160; I am thrilled to report that the installation went smoothly.&#160;&#160;&#160; I did have to call Tech support to setup up my WiFi, and honestly, my problem was mainly due to user error.&#160; The tech support person was wonderful and even helped me setup my email account to Microsoft Outlook.&#160; The picture is much clear, and as pathetic as it sounds, the ability to record four shows at the same time is fabulous.&#160; Do you remember the days when we actually had to use a VCR to record a show?&#160; EEK!&lt;/p&gt;

      <description>&lt;p&gt;After 14 years of really good service with Time Warner for some reason I let an AT&amp;amp;T Sales guy in my door. The only thing that really swayed me was the DVR and the ability to view it from all TVs and program it online. I ended up ordering the service and scheduled my installation for 10 days later (the soonest they could fit me in). Come to find out the sales guy &quot;made a calculation error&quot; on my order and now I find out I am getting less channels for more money than I was paying. I figured the dvr thing still made it worth it and he offered me a $50 rebate for his &quot;mistake&quot;.&#160;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;&lt;br/&gt;I got a call from Customer service two days before the install was supposed to happen stating that they couldn't port over the phone lines so they had to move back the installation. Come to find out they had the wrong spelling of my name. I noticed the salesman had made the error on the order but I fixed it and told the guy I fixed it. So Customer &quot;Service&quot; supposedly fixed the error and resubmitted it. One week later...&lt;/p&gt;... </description>

      <description>&lt;p&gt;AT&amp;amp;T Uverse high-speed internet service is by far the best ISP I had, including their Uverse TV. I thought I'll regret I made the swithc hearing some negative reviews about it..duh..I was about to cut-off the service...But then why should I, I have no problem with them. I love my internet it doesn't buffer when I need to watch videos. I can actually download movies easily. It's really amazing. Kudos to AT&amp;amp;T...the service is also good by the way.&lt;/p&gt;... </description>

      <description>&lt;p&gt;The good: great HD picture and features are what attracted us to AT&amp;amp;T in the first place-has for the most part met our expectations. The recording capabilities and multiple DVR's are a great plus.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;The bad: we have had to call a service tech at least three time to fix technical problems with the DVR boxes themselves. The last was the recorded item froze and would not unfreeze. Even though the box was rebuted three time it still would not clear. So we had to call a service technician to replace the box because of alleged hard drive problem (thereby loosing all our recording programs). Even though we gave them our home number to call before the service tech would come out, they never called and gave us another (work) number which we never gave them. The service tech never apoligized about the inconvienence and even acted kind of loud and defensive. Other problems are that the loudness of the TV would fluctuate between channels, shows and commercials which are very annoying.&lt;/p&gt;

      <description>&lt;p&gt;Summary: Prepare for having your house / apt scrutinizing, blackouts when rolling back and a lot of time spent with AT&amp;amp;T support lines and test all the phone line jacks before the technician leaves. Forget about what they say, they do not support more than 1 tv set.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;I have had a really bad experience with AT&amp;amp;T UVerse installation. A couple of weeks ago I decided to switch to UVerse since there was no break up fee and no required minimal subscription time, I thought if I did not like it I just switch back to my old DSL.&#160;This in spite of my visit to the local AT&amp;amp;T sales office where the seller said that he did not know anything about it (I asked questions about how it is different than DSL, modem types, if it uses PPoE or direct connection, etc...).&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;My condo does not allow any external installation but they assured me that it was just an internal installation.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Prior to the scheduled appointment, AT&amp;amp;T called saying there were disconnecting my DSL line. UVerse and DSL are incompatibles it...&lt;/p&gt;... </description>
