Not sure how new this player from move networks is but I've tried it on a few computers with the same result, bad. It takes 3 or 4 times to get a movie to even play. Quality was great... if you can get the video to load.

Another interesting bug was that the commercial breaks would happen, but no commercial would play, just dead air.

Fix the kinks and this could be a decent player...

Until then I'll go back to hulu and grab LOST episodes with a torrent.

I like the look of the website. But I hate watching the shows on the player. The shows are always freezing and I hate that I have to push "continue" after each commercial segment. In comparison to Fox, CBS and NBC - ABC's is the worst. Of the four major sites, ABC is the only one that freeze up on me everytime. And it is not my computer's fault. I watch shows on the other sites without a problem. Also, getting up to click "continue" after commercials is silly. I can't get comfortable watching my show because every 10 minutes or so, I have to get up to click "continue". Another reviewer said I can watch the commercials at the beginning to avoid the interruption, but I have yet to figure out how to do that. For the sophisticated look of the website, ABC leaves much to be desired when it comes to actually watching my favorite shows....

Bravo to ABC for making many of the shows from their current season available online for free!! I love many of the ABC shows, Eli Stone, Ugly Betty, Boston Legal etc. and I really enjoy being able watch them whenever I can afford the time.

With that being said, I think that the ABC Full Episode player leaves alot to be desired. I can tollerate watching the same commercial 5 times in a row, but I don't like having to get up just to click the mouse once. (I watch shows from across the room). My husband and I have discovered that we can choose to watch all of the commercials before watching the show in order to watch an uninterupted episode, however it is not uncommon for the full episode player to freeze up just after we have viewed all of the commercials. Which leads me to my next gripe, GLICHES!!! Of all the full episode players out there (and I have used most all of them), the ABC Full Epsiode Player has the most gliches. Why should I have to download the 32mb ABC Video Player onto my computer, when NBC and CBS allow you to view online episodes right from their websites, with no software downloads?

Also, the ABC player 'window' is one size only, and I can't even access the controls at the bottom of the page. It won't let you resize the window at all. My version of the player only showed the video in slow motion, and the audio came in 2-3 second spurts, with 15 silent seconds in-between.

I have 1.5 Mbps high speed DSL, and I think that should be good enough to watch an online TV show. Never had a problem with the other networks, or even Hulu videos.

So what's with the ABC viewer? I uninstalled it as soon as I realized it doesn't work!

I really do love the ABC player. Not only is it easy for your computer to download, but there is also a huge selection. I have interest in watching a lot of new shows that I hear about but I always forget what time they are on, getting into them online first makes it so much easier to remember. The little commercial bits kind of suck, but I'm busy so I can always think of things to do during them.

This is so great. I used it when I ran out of space on my cable dvd recorder and missed an important show.In case you don't know Lost is show about a mystery linking seeming unrelated characters from a downed airliner stranded on a island. The quality was great and it had very limited commercials.

The ABC full episode player is a wonderful and very useful thing to have. If I miss an episode or forget to record an episode of my favorite ABC program, I can just log in a watch it online. Also very convenient when you are travelling to be able to watch from your laptop anytime you want. I love the ABC full episode player....

I watch a great deal of television online, and I enjoy using ABC's player, though it isn't as streamlined and practical as NBC's, which I think is the best. They have a wide variety of shows available to watch, usually with a handful of previous episodes, not just the last one. It's easy to use, though I have had occasional technical problems with it. It is frustrating, though, when they make a show disappear, such as when they cancelled Miss Guided and all of the episodes were gone from the website. It's a great way to keep up with your favorite ABC shows....

The pro's of having thing player is that when you don't have a chance to view it all on tv, you can come here and watch it. It's like tivo but without the pricey amount. It also kind of saves the history of what you watched already. The cons of it is, the commercials, the lag at times. Sometimes it malfunctions and you have to restart it. Which is very bothersome....

I love the fact that If I miss Grey's or Desperate Housewives I can get on-line and watch it without any worry of missing anything. Also its great for when there has been a lag in episodes you can watch the last few to make sure you remember everything that is going on.

I love the ABC episode viewers and got hooked when I was living in Arizona but now that I've moved to Manhattan it's not working.

I can log onto the sites but when I go to load the shows ( which have always worked before outside of Manhattan) ABC's site says the episodes "unavailable" check back later...but when I had friends check in other parts of the country they can log on at the same time with no problems. I've tried for weeks and get the same message.

Can anyone explain why?

I watch TV shows all day on this site sometimes! I put it on in a little screen while I am working. It is also very easy to close if say a manager comes by =). It is fun and I can catch up on an entire season in one day. I think they should put more shows up but I bet that will happen soon. I wish they would put the daytime soaps like general hospital because I am not able to watch it everyday and often would like to see it. It would be great if all of the networks did this. I think this may be where tv is going soon. It is easy and available whenever you want it without having to have a tivo!...

We love to use this to watch Lost and a couple other shows. Our TV reception isn't always great (we don't have cable) and our small kids make it hard to watch TV shows when they air. It didn't always work super great, but this season it has worked beautifully. When I did watch an episode of a program on the air I thought, "wow, there are so many commercials!" Much better to watch them online!...

I love that you can watch the episodes on line if you had missed it. I enjoy this feature because I am busy with work and my kids, but always find the chance to watch my shows online. They also have several episodes to watch. I find that this is helpful. ...
