Ok, First of all...I was browsing my local gamestop and looking for a fairly inexpensive game to play and my hubby saw the this game and shoved it in my face. I looked at the front and read the description on the back(I love survival-horror games and thats what I tend to stick to) I was skeptical, but I figured I would give it a shot.

I popped it in and within minuets of starting it..I couldn't stop playing it!!!! The storyline, in my opinion is what drove this game from one point to another.I wanted to know what was gonna happened next so bad, that I would play it for hours on end. I cared about the Main 2 characters (Jackie and Jenny) very much, and it the voiceover talent was awesome.

I don't want to give alot away but these few details...you play a character called Jackie estacdo, a hitman for the mob, you gain a very special and deadly power on your 21st b-day, you spend 9/10ths of the game getting revenge..you will love it and want to play it again!!!

The only 2 downpoints to the game...
...

jbirwin says "The Darkness is a fun, different FPS " about 2K - The Darkness

"Graphics: Excellent 9/10
The graphics are very well done and they are sharp. The mouth movement when the characters speak is weak, but the attention to most other details is remarkable.

Sound: Great - 8.5/10
You can tell that there is gun fire, and there is something behind you - nice touches for surround sound.

Gameplay: Great - 8.5/10
The gameplay is well done and the physics are fun to play with and there are plenty of variances to keep your interest

Replay Value - Above Average 7/10
This is a great single player campaign game, but the multiplayer was thrown in because it could be.

Overall - 8.5/10
This is a fun game that gives a new spin to the first person shooter genre, though nothing revolutionary, and makes an entertaining and engrossing game. The gameplay brings you in, but it is the weak multiplayer however, is what keeps this game from really shining.

The Darkness from the makers of "The Chronicles of Riddick: Escape from Butcher Bay" is a first-person shooter where you use the lack of......
