When I got Family Guy the Video Game, I didn't know what to expect. It could have been HILARIOUS, or it could have been super dumb. It actually turned out to be pretty fun with only a few downsides.

There is a plot to the game, but it's not really important and it becomes kind of random. Basically what happens is you encounter various scenes in which you must get to the end by facing various challenges. The game is played scene by scene instead of ungoing... like you have to get to that door and then you move to the next scene. You'll play as Stewie, Brian and Peter at different parts of the game as there are actually 3 storylines going on (just like there would be on TV). Each story is pretty much like a TV show story, except drawn out.

Stewie is trying to control the world through mind control and the TV
Brian is trying to break out of jail after getting Sebreeze pregnant
Peter is off looking for Mr. Belvedere and has to beat a lot of characters up!

I watch the show all the time and I bet the video game is the bomb. I'll have to try it out sometime for sure....

this game sucks and is very offensive. this game was entertaining and believe me it occupied my time just fine but though the levels advanced in difficultly they were still basically the same. i loved the game i just wish maybe after completing the game it would offer an advenced more difficult version or something. cause basically you go through the game and thats it you can't play it again or maybe bypass a character or two. the steie and peter games were fun but i hated when i was brian. it was just not as fun to play his levels...

Despite the cheap, used pricetag, I was nervous about giving the Family Guy video game for PS2 a shot. After all, cutout bins everywhere are littered with bad games based on TV and movies. I think most places have a cutout bin strictly for bad Simpsons video games alone! What I got though, was a fun, somewhat challenging, and thoroughly engaging video game that has given me hours of entertainment.

With over 20 levels, Family Guy will take some time for you to beat. While the beginning levels are fairly easy, I was happy to see each level's difficulty increase. Right now I'm only about halfway through the game, but I can safely say this game does present a challenge. Granted, I might not be as swift with a controller as I was 10 years ago in my teenage years, but I'm not terrible either.
