Got this car a few years ago when I was attempting to save money. It's lost a little bit on fuel mileage, but overall is a great car that doesn't break down. Have over 70,000 miles on it and all it's needed is the regular stuff any car would need after that many miles...

NMohtashemi says "Don't buy this car if you don't have to" about 2005 Dodge Neon

My husband and I bought this car because we had no other choice. Even brand new, this car has some serious problems. PLastic parts don't want to stay on (from ALL OVER) there aren't enough compartments that are actually useful (just ones where stuff slides out) and the speakers are very fragile. It gets the same mileage as a light truck!!! It's awfull, we're lucky to get 230 out of a full tank. It's treacherous sitting in this car for longer than 30 minutes, it's no good for long trips (or even short ones!) If you have other options, take them!
...

waverlybrent says "sad to see it go" about 2005 Dodge Neon

Why Dodge replaced this long runner is beyond me. I like mine and bought it mainly because of the numerous vintage Neons still on the road. I have fit many larger items for hauling, take the family and the dog for trips and get average gas mileage. I was disappointed it did get within the published range but is much better than my previous Dodge Durango.

The original tires only lasted 30,000 miles and the front brake pads barely made it 25,000 which is common for most Dodges. I like the styling, handling and semi-sportiness if the car. I plan on keeping it until it expires as it fits most of my daily commuting and toting needs.
...

mpayne says "Love my little Neon " about 2005 Dodge Neon

I got my 2005 Dodge Neon in August 2006. I have been in love with it ever since! It gets great gas mileage - I average between 26-30 mpg regularly. It's MUCH more roomy than it looks on the outside. I can easily fit 3 teens in the back, and my hubby and I in the front. The trunk has LOTS of room, as well. I get excellent service through my Dodge dealer's service department, as well. Highly recommend this car to anyone interested in saving money and still getting a great little sporty ride....

dwinnell says "Save Gas, Money and Fit Into Any Parking Space" about 2005 Dodge Neon

I purchased my Neon because I needed a good value and a vehicle that was good on gas. I have been very happy with my purchase and plan to keep it and give to my son when he turns 16.

It has been everything I wanted in a vehicle. The service is great, it runs great, all I have to do is drive it, which is what I expected. I can also fit into parking that no one else can. In this day and time of huge trucks that can be very important.

It is very quiet on the inside and everything in it still works after two years. The trunk is very roomy and if I need more space the back seat lets down from the trunk.
...
