pleroy says "Great device at good price" about Magellan - Road Mate 1200 GPS Device

My wife bought the magellan roadmate 1200 as a gift for me. I own a small trucking company and do A LOT of driving- mostly to new places. This device has been a life saver- not sure how I lived without one until now. It is very easy to use and very accurate. I was also very happy with how quickly it retrieves information when starting out as well as when it's rerouting you. I have friends who have similarly priced devices and performance is not always that great. I also really like the POI and search features. Nice to have when you're in a new area and need to quickly find points of interests like restaurants or stores. It's very simple to operate and quick and easy to hide or transfer to another vehicle. You can even use it when you're walking! I'd recommend this device to anyone looking for a reasonably priced GPS unit. Why spend a fortune when this one gets the job done and is easy to use out of the box.
...

pleroy says "Great card, but slap you with rate hike" about Capital One - rewards card

I've had my capital one card for several years and had been very happy until recently. There's no annual fee, reward points and terrific identiy theft and fraud protection. It's true what you hear in their commercials, no hassle fraud protection. I know because our card number was stolen and someone (in another country) spent thousands online. With no hassle at all, capital one did not hold us responsible and took care of everything. We also had a great fixed interest rate. In fact, I was going to cancel the card and they offered me a fixed, low rate several years ago, so we took it. We were assured that the rate would never change (assuming you don't default with late payments). Everything was fine until about a month ago when they doubled the rate and not based on anything we'd done (late payments, credit status change, etc.). It was based on the 'troubles' the banks are having right now. Very unfair given we had a fixed rate. I ended up canceling the card.
...

pleroy says "Great shampoo without salon prices" about Pantene Pro V- volume

I have used almost every shampoo brand out there, including salon brands. Each time I think I'll make a switch, which is often more expensive when I buy from my hair stylist, I end up going back to Pantene. It provides results just as good as any higher ended brands I've tried. Plus, they have a formula for just about anyone and any hair need or problem. I have fine hair, so I'm always trying to add volume. Pantene's volumizing shampoo and conditioner really seem to work. Of course, you're not going to go from flat hair to major thick looking hair, but I can sure tell the difference. I use both the shampoo and conditioner- of the same variety. My hair is fuller and feels great. No residue buildup feel or weighing it down. It also cleans well and rinses easily. Another thing is you can find this anywhere you shop, unlike higher end brands that you have to buy at the salon. Worth trying out for a week to see how well it works.
...

pleroy says "Great product that costs less than dept. store brands" about Olay Regenerist Daily Regenerating Serum

This whole line of products is great and available in most places you shop. I've had great results using the cream and serum. My skin feels softer and more hydrated. The serum even seems to reduce the appearance of fine lines over time. It's a little costly, but no where close to what you'll pay for brands in major dept. stores. It's also easy to find coupons, so that will save additional money. There are several products in the line for different purposes. I've only used the moisturizer and serum. They recommend using the serum twice a day. I usually apply the serum in the morning before applying my makeup. Sometimes I'll use the serum and apply the moisturizer over it, but I don't think it's necessary. At night, I'll use the moisturizer cream and sometimes the serum under it. If I had to choose one over the other to minimize costs, it would have to be the serum. Feels great and I can definitely tell the difference after using it. Both products can be used all over the...
...

pleroy says "Delicious and healthy!" about Kashi GoLean!

This cereal taste great alone or with milk. It's loaded with protein and fiber. I started using this product about a year ago when I decided I had to take off some weight and eat a healthier diet, including eating breakfast daily. Since then, I've become a GoLean addict!! I've lost about 80 pounds and GoLean is central to my diet (some times I think I eat too much of it). Of course, I eat sensibly at other meals and exercise regularly, but I still have to contribute a lot of my success to this cereal. Fiber is very important for any diet and gives you a full feeling without eating a 1000 carlories. Eat as a cereal, plain, or use it as a topping on anything like yogurt. If you're not accostumed to a high fiber diet, give it a little while to make sure your body adjusts. Some of the other Kashi cereals have similar benefits, but this has the most fiber and protein and I think it tastes the best.
...

pleroy says "Great treadmill for good price" about Horizon T1201

Great treadmill for a good price. Easy on the legs and has several training modes, plus you can save up to 4 workouts. I really like this feature because I can save different workout routines depending on the day, how hard I want to work or how much time I have. It also does very well in terms of impact adsorbency. I run 6 miles a day and never feel like it's straining my joints. The incline goes to 12, although I'd like it to go to 15. The display provides info about incline, speed, calories burned, time, distance and heart rate. There's also an ipod docking station and speakers, which is quite impressive given the size of the speakers. It's a little heavy and awkward, but pretty simple to fold up and store or move out of the way. I'd recommend the extended home service warranty, as they can be very expensive to fix. I haven't used mine, but have been told it's no hassle and they come to the house to fix it.
...

pleroy says "Poor performance" about Dell E6400

Good price, but you get what you pay for! Problems from day 1 with performance and the computer locking up. Every time I get to working on the computer it freezes. After a minute or 2 it unfreezes, but this continues the entire time I'm on it. Also, the materials are not as durable and well made as other machines I've owed. It just feels cheap, which it was at $600. I'm not sure if I got a 'lemon' machine or if this reflects on the general quality of Dell machines, but it sure makes me hesitate to buy another Dell. This machine is not for your gaming enthusiast (and they don't claim it to be- it's under the small business category), so don't think you can buy it cheap and upgrade memory to improve performance for more taxing applications. I will say that the screen resolution was impressive, if it just wouldn't freeze all the time!! Another pro is the built in wireless capability. Very easy to set up.
...
