pennstate12 says "Effective and nontoxic." about Shaklee Basic H2 Organic Super Cleaning Concentrate

The Basic H2 is a versatile cleaner. One bottle lasts a very long time because you dilute it with water before using. I would recommend buying the spray bottles right away. I have one spray bottle for windows and mirrors and one for general purpose cleaning. When I say general purpose I mean it. You can clean the stove top, your glasses, the floor - you name it. And it doesn't have an odor or leave a residue. I know this product is safer to use for my family since it is non-toxic and I'm saving packaging materials by buying one cleaning product instead of five or more. —...

pennstate12 says "Baby has always hated it." about Fisher Price Ocean Wonders Aquarium Cradle Swing

This swing is fine. The construction is fine. The music is fine. The toys are fine. The safety harness is fine. The problem is that my baby has never liked being in it. Not even for 30 seconds. She will sit on my lap and play with the fish that hangs from the safety belt and she liked when the lights lit up at around 4-6 months old but she only tolerates it sitting in my lap. It was a complete waste of money. We thought she would love it and fall asleep in it and that we could put her in it while we ate. We even bought a huge pack of extra batteries anticipating going through them quickly. Baby had other ideas. Mom and Dad's arms are much better (and cheaper). I would recommend borrowing one from a friend or relative to see if your baby likes it before buying one....

pennstate12 says "Offers a feeling of security." about Sony NTM-910 900 MHz BabyCall Nursery Monitor

We were a bit concerned with interference before we bought this monitor but we have never had a problem. I sleep secure in the knowledge that if my baby makes a noise I will hear it. The "mode" that blocks out white noise and picks up the baby crying is fantastic since the baby sleeps with a white noise CD playing. It only picks up the baby making noise or the dog jumping off the bed in her room onto the hardwood floor. — The only problem we have with this monitor is that at night the range alarm with occasionally beep for no apparent reason. It is a minor, random annoyance that is overshadowed by the other great feature and performance. —...

pennstate12 says "Absolutely the most useful baby related product I have." about Boppy Luxe Pillow

My boppy pillow is the number one item I would not want to be without. I used it 8-10 times per day for the first 6 months. Now I use it twice a day for feedings in my baby's nursery. Other times I just hold her without it now that she is bigger and can support herself. — As a nervous first time mother I am grateful for this product that helps me support my baby without tiring my arms. — I would recommend buying an extra cover for the boppy pillow. I got one because I thought if I washed the pillow everytime it got a mess on it it would fall apart. The first four months I was washing the pillow and/or cover 2-3 times per week. After that the accidents were few and far between (I'm talking about a leaking diaper, milk, and spit up.). — My only complaint is I wish there were waterproof removable covers. —...

pennstate12 says "They have Creamery ice cream. 'Nuff said." about The Penn Stater Conference Center and Hotel - State College, PA

Obviously, I love all things Penn State if you check out my screen name. Yes, I'm an alumna. I got to stay at the Penn Stater on business for a conference held by my organization. The hotel was accomodating but there were problems with getting the right number and type of lunches for a bus trip. The meeting rooms were all together in one general area which was important to us. — Returning to my guest room at the end of a long day was luxurious. There was a huge flat screen TV, a nice view of the court yard, and clean and modern furnishings. The meals were excellent. We had a tailgate reception with Penn State University Creamery ice cream which was a highlight for me even though the hotel brought out different flavors than we ordered. When we pointed it out to them they added the two flavors we asked for. A trip to Happy Valley is not complete without a trip to the Creamery and since the hotel is not within walking distance of campus having it available...

pennstate12 says "Works for me!" about Graco SnugRide Car Seat

My Mom and Dad bought me the Graco Snugride after it was recommended in their car seat safety class they took before I was born. Mom is a safety freak and had the car seat installation checked a month before I was due. Mom is so into safety she is always pointing out what parents are doing wrong on those baby shows on cable. Putting a huge puffy coat on a baby and then strapping them into a car seat - what are they thinking? Cribs filled with bumpers, pillows, blankets, and stuffed animals - the horror! — Anyway, Mom thought I would outgrow this car seat in like 6 months because her and Dad were both big babies and they were expecting a whooper. I'm right in the middle of the growth charts right now and Mom and Dad expect me to be in this car seat to my first birthday. It was worth buying the infant seat because they are supposed to be safer, this one will last a year, and it is convenient having an extra base for Dad's car. I've only been in Dad's...
