pearlofafrika says "Greatest makeup product ever." about Urban Decay Eyeshadow Primer Potion

Okay, there's not enough superlatives in the world to describe my elation for Urban Decay Primer Potion (UDPP for short). I first found out about it after scouring the internet for some fix for my oily eyelids. My expensive Mac eyeshadows would smurge and crease after an hour of wear, and I thought, well, it can't be Mac, so it must be me.. and then I figured out that my eyelids were the problem, and then I was referred to UDPP. At $15 for a little bottle, I was skeptical at first, because I'm like really cheap, but I couldn't stand to see my eyeshadow crease anymore, so I bought it.. and first day, eyeshadow lasted 15 hours!! this was 150% improvement. I was blown away.

So, I stock up on my UDPP... and it lasts forever, by the way. Even when you think it's all gone, it's not (check youtube for videos on how to get the most out of it). Even though it comes in a small bottle, all your need is a little dab. I love it! Greatest makeup product ever....

pearlofafrika says "Mac is my fix!" about MAC Studio Fix Foundation

I love all Mac products. Even though I'm very frugal, some things I won't skimp on and when it comes to makeup, I definitely put quality over price. I've tried tons of makeup in the past, but Mac always makes the best products. I love Studio Fix Foundation because it's NEVER cake-like, it's never heavy, and it blends perfectly with my complexion. I don't think any other company out there makes foundation that works flawlessly for ppl of color like Mac....

pearlofafrika says "Definite must if you're nursing!" about Boppy Luxe Pillow

I love my boppy!! I didn't get one at first, thinking I didn't need one, and that I could do with generic pillows (read: I'm cheap) but once I tried a friend's boppy, I realized it was the pillow for me!

I use it all the time to nurse my baby, and it fits perfectly. It's very sturdy, which is great, because I needed the support. I think it's a definite must-have for all nursing moms.
...

pearlofafrika says "I would live in Ikea if I could!" about IKEA

I absolutely love Ikea. At first when it came to my city, I didn't know what all the fuss was about, but once I got in there, I knew. It is a huge warehouse full of great prices and unique, Scandanavian products. I'm the queen of cheap, so it was heaven for me. I furnished all of my kitchen and linen needs in under $125. I got pillows, comforters, curtains, pots & pans, dishes, towels, rugs, you name it! I love going there just to see what I can get for cheap.

Also, I love their breakfasts, because trust me, I'm there before they open up.

Now, if you're looking for something that's longer lasting, you may want to purchase the higher quality items they have there (still great prices), but if you're on a budget (for students going away to college especially), and you're trying to stretch your dollar, this is the place to go. My items have lasted at least a year without needing to be replaced. I highly recommend it!
...

pearlofafrika says "Average car seat, gets the job done but safety concerns." about Evenflo Embrace Car Seat

I got this Evenflo carseat as a baby shower gift, and although it gets the job done, I'm worried about the safety features. My baby is easily able to wiggle out of the harness, even with the straps tied tightly. By 6 months, my baby was able to unbuckle the seatbelt, which was very scary when you're driving! I would recommend something a little more safety conscious. ...
