pampushky says "Nice plane, inexperienced crew" about Jet Blue Airways

Having been a Southwest Airlines traveler for years, I had sort of forgotten about assigned seating and "regular" airline travel. My family (sister, mom and 5 kids all together) flew in August, 2007, from Las Vegas to Long Beach, California for a cruise. Our airfare was very reasonable ($100 RT) and it was nice to know we would all be sitting together. The check in service was fine, the gate experience was fine, and once we boarded the plane it was equally impressive. We received headphones for Jet Blue's entertainment system right away, and settled into our seats for the 50 minute flight. I think we had 3 flight attendants, I am not certain. They seemed hurried, confused, and unorganized. Because the flight is so short they only offered 2 beverage choices: coffee or orange juice. (On the return they offered Sprite, Coke, and Diet Coke) Once it was handed to us they announced they needed to come by and pick up everyone's cups since they were starting the descent. Needless to say, we...

pampushky says "Outdated ship that is on its way out" about Princess Cruises - Regal Princess

This was our first experience on Princess and we eagerly awaited this cruise with open minds. We had 4 cabins, all on Plaza Deck, all outside, ocean view cabins. The ship departed from San Pedro on August 1, 2007. Just as a bit of info, I traveled with my younger sister, my mom, my 15 yr old son, my 11 yr old daughter, and my sister's 3 children (10, 14, and 17) and we stayed 2 to a room. I have sailed on NCL, Holland America, and Royal Caribbean; my mom has sailed on RCCL, NCL, HAL, and Silver Seas; my sister has sailed on HAL and RCCL. We chose this cruise specifically because we wanted to go to Hawaii and we wanted to go on a cruise, so it seemed to fit our needs perfectly. Check in was easy, and as we were fairly early, it was uncrowded. We boarded at noon. We had flown in from Nevada earlier in the morning, so we were very hungry when we got onboard, so we headed to the buffet. The Lido Buffet seemed very nice, with a nice variety. First impressions can often be wrong, however....

pampushky says "Where have you been all my life???" about Sony - Cybershot H9 Digital Camera

I know very little about digital cameras. I was fortunate enough to be given an Olympus c-2100 a few years ago by my father, but even though the camera was great, it seemed huge. I ended up winning a Canon something in an online contest and found it limiting. When I got this Sony DSC-H9 it scared me to death because it has every bell and whistle one could ask for, and I'm not sure about shutter speeds and all that camera lingo. I brought this camera with me on a 15 day cruise to Hawaii two weeks ago. All I can say is WOW!!! My son used it to take pictures of scenery and of his friends, he used it to take videos. Amazing. I used it on deck to capture the blueness of the water...and the pictures were perfect representations of real life. I love everything about this camera. I got an extra battery because this model uses a specific Sony battery, not AA or AAA like many camera. It held a charge for a very long time. I used a 1meg card and with all of my son's pictures and videos I...
