nupt says "my favorite sonic toothbrush" about Oral-B Sonic Complete Care Toothbrush

I have used many Sonic toothbrushes including Sonicare(several models) and Oral B Sonic Complete. I have tried the low end sonic models at the store on my fingers. They totally lack power when compared to the full version brushes. The Oral B Sonic Complete has a simple, easy to clean brush head. It is less expensive to replace the brush head than on the Sonacare brush. It is also easier to keep the brush system clean. The cap on the sonacare becomes filled with sludge and can become quite foul. The sonic complete brush head has a blue color indicator which gradually fades as the brush is used. When the color disappears, it is time to change the brush head. The handle is comfortable to hold. The brush gives you three power settings to choose from. The timer is convenient, alerting you every 30 seconds that it is time to move on to another area of your mouth. You would be surprised how long 2 minutes really is. I think I have been able to improve my oral hygiene using...
...

nupt says "amazing view of a dreadful disease" about Lisa Genova - Still Alice

One of the best gifts I ever received was the novel Still Alice by Lisa Genova. This book essentially is the telling of the diagnosis and progression of Alzheimer's disease through the eyes of one of its victims. It is a heart-breaking story of a 50 year old professor who experiences mild symptoms that she at first attributes to menopause only to be stunned by a diagnosis that destroys her life as she knows it. You follow her downward spiraling though her first hand account of how it gradually disrupts and radically changes her life and her relationships with her husband, children and collegues. You can feel her frustrations and difficulties and how others' perception of her changes. The candor and humor of this brillant woman afflicted by a disease that robs her of her life piece by cruel piece is amazing. You find yourself crying with her and for her. I would highly recommend this book for anyone working with or knows someone with Alzheimer's Disease. It is eye opening and will...
...

nupt says "great value especially in this economy" about Entertainment Coupon Book

The Entertainment Coupon Book has been a worthwhile purchase for us for the past 10+ years. We have actually bought it year after year for family and friends as well. And they love it as much as we do. The book obviously has many, many more coupons than one could possibly use in a years' time. But only using one or two of them more than covers the cost of the book. And usually one can buy the book from a charitable organization or cause so it has that added benefit of helping others. We have discovered many restaurants though the use of the coupon book that we have since revisited many times without the coupon. We have discovered ethnic foods that we now really enjoy. We have never had a problem using a coupon at any restaurant..but we would suggest that for someplaces you need to call to see if they are still accepting the coupon or have not gone out of business!! We have also used the coupons at retail stores, the theatre, airlines, car rentals and the supermarket. We...
...

nupt says "Great campus, great location, great education" about Tufts University

Tufts University in Medford ,Massachusetts has it all! The campus is safe, just big enough, not too spread out and is beautiful. The view of Boston from the library rooftop is awesome ! The housing options on and off campus are many and are safe. The food is exceptional for a college campus. The buildings are well kept and up to date. The access to Boston is easy and fast but no need to go beyond the campus and Davis and Harvard Squares! The students are friendly and diverse; the faculty accessible and engaging...many are well-renowned in their respective fields. The academic courses are challenging ,interesting . You can find the smaller size classes if you like. .Study abroad is encouraged and there are many programs. The active social life draws students from other local schools. Many , many extracurricular activities to join. Has active Greek life. There are work study jobs available on campus to help with that hefty tuition bill! The only negatives are the high...
...

nupt says "Get a backbreaking view of your contents" about GE GTS22KBPBB

Making a selection of a new refrigerator at the store when it is empty is very deceiving! This GE GTS22KBPBB refrigerator looked very spacious with easy access to the contents. But once I got it home and filled it, I found it was a backbreaking chore to find things and to remove things! The top shelf access is impeded but the bulky unit on the "roof" on the refrigerator part. It is very difficult to get a half gallon of juice or a gallon of milk out without a major struggle! You need to bend and twist to remove it! Lowering the shelf leaves you very little clearance for any items on the next level. The glass shelving does "catch" any spills so cleaning up is easier and faster. The door shelves are very bulky and seem to take up more room than they need to, thus limiting storage. I do find I have to periodically readjust the temperature of the refrigerator part as the contents in the back sometimes freeze!! I do like the freezer being on top for easy access. The other mistake...
...

nupt says "Cooking on the George Foreman is quick and easy" about George Foreman Lean Mean Fat Reducing grilling Machine GR35

The George Foreman grill is an appliance I use almost everyday. It is large enough to use for a family meal or company. It is quick and easy to use. And it does not take up much room on the kitchen counter. I have used it to make breakfasts, lunches and dinners. Since we are watching our fat intake, I use it to make "french fries" by just cutting up potatoes , spraying them with PAM and seasoning them ... into the Foreman for about 20 minutes and they are done and fat free!! Another purpose is for panini sandwiches. No need for a panini maker! You can make 2-3 at a time too. We have done sausages and hamburgers too but they come out a little dry. The owners' manual has recipes in it and it is helpful to have the cooking times for each as well as great ideas for interesting meals. The only negatives I would have are two. First, you must spray the grill before each use because otherwise the cleanup is tough. Secondly, the life of the machine was disappointing. We have...
...
