When my daughter was born I decided to breastfeed her but due to an allergy she developed at around 6 weeks she wasn't able to continue nursing. At the hospital they had given us a soothie pacifier and it was and to this day is the only one she will take so when we went to buy bottles we bought several kinds including the avent, Dr brown and soothie, the only ones we could get my daughter to drink out of were the soothie. The shape of the nipple is very close to breast and if you are doing both then the transition from one to the other is easier for the baby. The bottles were also very reasonably priced costing about half of the cost of avent and the dr brown. The only drawbacks that i found was that my daughter was hooked and that I could only buy them at Walmart and Toys r us....
