nicetouch99 says "The Electorlux EL6988A is small but powerful." about Electrolux EL6988A Bagged Canister Vacuum

The Electrolux EL 6988D is powerful despite its small size and quiet operation. Its lighter than my previous machine but seems to do the job just as well. The wand is bigger and bulkier though slightly offsetting the ease of moving the main unit around. The bare floor and the upholstery attachment are not storable on or in the machine which is another strike against it since I tend to misplace things like that if I don't have a specific place for it. I thought about sending the unit back because but the size and quiet but effective ooperation made it worth keeping. If you're shopping for a canister vac I'd suggest getting your hands on the ones you're considering before purchasing....

nicetouch99 says "The Duet system really does get clothes cleaner!" about Whirlpool Duet - Washer Dryer

After reading a couple of the horror stories that some people had experienced with the DUET Washer / Dryer set I was a little worried but there are so many outstanding reviews about the DUET set that I decided to give it a try. I didn't install the system myself but after watching it done I realized I could've done it quite easily myself. The instructions were detailed, complete, and very easy to follow. I did have to read the owner's manuals to find out how to operate the machines but its fairly simple once you get the sequence down. My biggest concern was noise and vibration. There wasn't any! Maybe the same volume of noise as the old washer but I think its actually quieter. Vibration was actually less than the old machine. After running the first load of blue jeans, hiking shorts, t-shirts, underwear, and some light jackets I was amazed. Even the oldest blue jeans looked like new ( the new faded look) but the grime around the pockets and on the front thighs was completely gone. I had......

nicetouch99 says "Treo 650 - indestructible, great calendar, LOTS of Apps!" about Palm - Treo 650 Cell Phone

I got my Verizon Palm Treo 650 off of ebay for under $40. I wasn't too happy with the LG VX 8750 I got when I opened my Verizon account. The LG battery life was way too short and using the calendar was a pain so after my girl friend dropped her Treo 650 in her cup of hot tea and it came back to life after drying out for a couple days I took a closer look at it. After familiarizing myself with the controls and finding an affordable app that let me sync it with my iCal, address book, and music on my mac I was sold on it. Low balled a number of Treo 650 auctions on ebay and finally scored a good one for $36! Got it a few days later and activated it online with no problems. I've dropped it on concrete a couple times in the last couple months and both times thought that was the end of that phone but no! It took the falls with only a couple scratches. Have tried out a number of hundreds of palm apps available for the phone and now use it as a back up for my ipod, no longer use a separate alarm......

nicetouch99 says "Easier to use but not as good as the Griffin iTrip" about Monster Cable - iCarPlay Wireless Plus Car / Plane Charger, FM Transmitter for Apple iPod shuffle (AISHFMCHPS)

I've tried a number of 'players' that allow you to play your iPod or other portable music player through your car's FM radio. I've never been fully satisfied with any of them. I tried the Monster Cable iCarplay because I thought that for the relatively high price and only 8 FM stations to choose from it must be really good. Well that was a stupid assumption wasn't it! I'd say the Monster Cable iCarplay's sound quality landed pretty much in the middle of the different units I tried. The limited number of stations and the design make it very easy to operate but even on an 'empty' station (which didn't occur very often) there was a lot of static. I tried positioning the unit in different spots but it never made enough of a difference. A friend gave me their old Griffin iTrip which allows you to use any frequency but it took me awhile to get the hang of changing the frequency. The old iTrip is definitely not what I would call user friendly but the sound quality was by far the best of all the...
...

nicetouch99 says "All of a sudden I can hear every distinct instrument" about Ultimate Ears - super fi.3 studio personal ear buds

When my Brookstone earbuds finally gave out I knew I wanted to upgrade. Read lots of reviews and realized everyone has there own taste for sound and what sounds great for one person will likely sound lousy or at least mediocre to another. So it wasn't easy choosing which earbuds to bet my hard earned money on. Finally settled on the Ultimate Ears super fi.3 studios. If I had looked at the specs showing only a 20 to 13Khz response I would not have tried them. Fortunately it was only later after being blown away by their clarity that I went back and looked expecting a 30 or 40 to 30KHz response. I still can't understand how the highs seem so clear and detailed with only a 13Khz top end. Maybe my ears are getting worn out. In any case there were a number of reviews that compared these buds favorably with ones costing three and four times as much. I had limited myself to $50 but found these for $70 on earphone solutions dot com and decided to risk it. If you like lots of bass these are not...
...

nicetouch99 says "Consistently the best reception of any cell phone" about Nokia - 6010 Cell Phone

This is a very basic cell phone with no bells and whistles. If what you need is dependable voice to voice communication in somewhat spotty cell phone reception areas then I highly recommend this phone. My girl friend and I were both on Verizonwireless network in rural Montana. She had this Nokia 6010 that would have solid reception in areas where my Motorola and then my Audiovox phones had no reception at all. I thought maybe she had just lucked out with a phone that happened to work exceptionally well on that network. Need drove me to fork out the $50 for the same phone. I was surprised when I got as good reception as she did. We then moved to rural Minnesota where the Verizon service wasn't. Switched to Cellular One and got another Nokia 6010. Compared to friends and family, most of who were on the same network, my girlfriend and I with our Nokia 6010s always got better reception than anyone else and often had good reception where they had none. My first cell phone was a Nokia and I appreciated...
...

nicetouch99 says "Great price. Works wonders and Easy to use" about Hoover SteamVac - Upright Agility Vacuum

With three dogs and living in the country surrounded by dust, dirt, and mud it became obvious that having our own carpet cleaner would save us a bundle if it worked decently. After reading numerous reviews on amazon and other sites I settled on the Hoover SteamVac as the best compromise between Performance, ease of use, and price. Because our carpets are heavily textured I was a little concerned about the unit's ability to suction up the water/detergent solution if it didn't have a good seal all around the nozzle. After using the unit on every carpet in the house I'm no longer concerned about that at all. We got the unit on sale at Best Buy took it home and assembled it in about ten minutes and had it loaded and ready to roll in fifteen. First stop - the master bedroom. I'd already pre-vacuumed the carpet thoroughly with a canister type vacuum with a powerhead. We vacuum regularly at least twice a week. I was shocked by how much dirt this unit got up so I went over the carpet a second time....
...

nicetouch99 says "Rock solid, Outstanding functionality, Perfect size" about Apple MacBook Notebook

I've always been a mac user but have at times been frustrated by lack of functionality online where some websites weren't mac compatible. That's ended now with Firefox for mac and the operating and bus speed of the intel core duo and intel core 2 duo machines. My girlfriend, who is a road warrior and has a top of the line Dell laptop spends at least ten times the amount of time keeping her machine up to date and running than I do on keeping my macbook up to date. Seems like there's always some glitch popping up in Windows XP or Microsoft office. I've had one problem with my macbook where the battery wasn't charging. Apple tech support helped me verify that the problem was in the hardware and that the unit needed to be returned to Apple since I lived in the hinterlands of Montana and no service center was close by. They sent me the shipping container with clear instructions on packing up my machine had Fed-Ex pick it up and I had it back in four days. Haven't had a problem since and that...
...
