nathanhardman says "Great Office Suite!" about OpenOffice.org

I downloaded OpenOffice for the first time a couple of years ago. I couldn't afford to purchase MS Office and was looking for an alternative. I had been interested in a Sun ultra sparc computer and in looking at Sun's site, I found out about OpenOffice. This is a complete office suite and the interface is much the same as MS Office, which I now own and use as well. Probably my favorite feature is to be able to convert my work to PDF format. They have recently added new templates and upgraded. I feel it is a good stable program and although it is free, these developers do deserve a little something for their time. And no I don't work for them, rather I just think it is fair to recognize there efforts. They have included all of the features that one would need in a complete office suite.
...

nathanhardman says "Great Features" about Motorola - Razr V3 Cell Phone

I bought 2 razors, 1 for myself and 1 for my wife. I like how small it is compared to my last phone. My daughter doesn't make fun of my bulky phone anymore. I like the calendar on it and use it all the time. I don't have a text message package, but I do like to send pictures to family on occasion and this is nice to be able to do this. I also like having alarms on the phone. I have to give medicine to my son throughout the day so I set the daily alarm to remind me of when it is time. The one thing I notice is that it doesn't have quite the power of my old bulky phone. For example: When I am in Lowe's, I have to walk closer to the front of the store where the windows are to get clear reception. I don't know if this is the phone or the service. I have the GPS navigation service on my phone and I use that all the time. Over all I like the phone a lot. I would recommend this phone for sure.
...

nathanhardman says "Not that great!" about Pet Select Pee-Pee Pads

I have tried to use these pads in training my puppy, but I have had little success. What she uses the pads for the most is a place to lay down. I would have to agree that they attract the dog, but not for the use they are intended. We have gone through the process of putting the pad in the place "she goes" and moving it closer to the door over a period of time. She doesn't get it. What works best is to feed her at the same time daily and then I set the timer and take her out after about a half an hour. I like the idea, as I live in a place where it snows and she is small weighing 3 pounds, so I think she would like not having to go out in the cold. I am considering trying a doggy litter box.
...

nathanhardman says "Software is updated!" about Microsoft Zune™ Brown (30 GB, 7500 Songs) Digital Media Player (js800003)

I am glad I bought the Zune over any other media player. I looked at a lot of media players before I made my decision. I have a baby who was in the pediatric intensive care unit for a long time. I looked at the iPod, Zen, PSP and a couple of others I can't think of off the top of my head. I'm not a gamer, so I didn't need that feature. The reason I was considering the PSP is that it has a nice screen and I wanted something I could watch movies on. The Zune was in my price range and did what I wanted. The one thing I have recently been disappointed in is that I couldn't put podcasts on it. On Nov. 13 Zune updated the software and now I can put podcasts on my Zune. I have the add-ons so I can play it in the car and hook it up to my TV. Something I was shocked about, that I tried recently; I hooked it up to a 52 inch TV and the quality of the picture was just as good as it is on my 32 inch TV. The one down side is that it is a little heavy. It is thicker than some other media players I...
...

nathanhardman says "I love this monitor" about Graco iMonitor Multi-Child Digital Baby Monitor

I really like the Imonitor a lot. I have a baby with a congenital heart defect so it is important that I know when he is awake or crying excessively, because it puts too much stress on him; so I have to get to him and calm him right away. I got the monitor because I have housework that I need to get done downstairs at home, but when I go down there I can't hear when he is awake. With the Imonitor I can hear even when he rubs his feet on the blanket. It is really sensitive! I also use it when my other kids are downstairs playing. This helps with knowing what is going on. Such as when they come to tell me that so-and-so did this or that. I was able to hear what was going on in the whole room so this alleviates the need to listen to them argue about what happened. As far as range, I took it down the street 5 houses before it started to break up. The one thing that was important to me was rechargeable, which it has, except for the base. It can be plugged in or it takes batteries. I suppose...
...
