nanpit says "Finally a woman is one step ahead of the men!" about The Closer

The Closer is an amazing police mystery show. I enjoy watching her find the clues etc. for her cases. This show lets people know that a woman is just as capable as a man when it comes to solving crimes. When at work, she is all business, at home she is mom! Never saw Kyra before but hope to see her on other shows soon.
...

nanpit says "House--you never know what he is up to next!" about House

House is a totally different but addicting show. You never know what will happen next. One always wonders how he gets away with some things he does. It is amazing how he comes up with the correct diagnosis. House never gives up--a very persistant doctor. Hope it continues to be a regular show.
...

nanpit says "If you need relief ask for Celebrex" about Celebrex Pain Reliever

I have been on many prescription drugs to help with my arthritic pain. Needless to say, they never worked. Sure the pain seemed less intense, but, the mild relief didn't last long. I noticed an ad about Celebrex while waiting to see my doctor and decided to ask about it. Since I tried every thing else, we decided to give it a try. Relief was just a swallow away! From the first pill I knew it was the one for me. I have been on Celebrex since 1998 and won't switch for anything. Try it--- you'll like it and will feel better!...

nanpit says "If you want your skin blemish free, Simons is the person to see!" about James Simons M.D. - Bay Area Dermatology - Traverse City, MI

Dr. Simons has been our dermatologist since we moved up here. He is the type of doctor I would consider a people person. He treats his patients and staff like they were his family. If you feel an issue is an emergency, he will see you that day. Dr. Simons is fast but thorough. If you have questions, he will answer them not just brush you off. Since treatments for dermatological problems can be very expensive (all medical treatments are expensive) he works with you and your insurance to get you the best care/treatment possible. His practice is constantly growing, so, he tried having another doctor as his partner. It didn't work out because no one wanted to see anyone but him. If you have any skin problems, Dr. Simons is the one to see!
...

nanpit says "mind-boggling, unbelievable, schocking book. Hard to put down." about A Child Called "It"

I read this book and was shocked by what type and how much abuse a child can take and still survive to tell his story. Being a mother, I cannot comprehend how a mother could mistreat her own flesh and blood like his "mother" did. Why didn't the school, neighbors, anyone notice anything? There are so many why's, how come's, where were's involved. It was a difficult book to get through. A person with any feelings had to take a break from it or wouldn't be able to stop crying. I know because that is what happened to me. When the school system finally did step in, the tears were tears of joy! If you read A Child called It, you will want to read the following books written by him. I feel this book should and probably will make a person listen a little closer to the subtle hints that abused children leave behind....

nanpit says "Another tribute to Stephen King" about The Stand

I wasn't disappointed in this book. It is a good example of how King has good vs evil in his books. He has a subtle way of showing people how good can overcome evil no matter what the situation is. This was a book I wanted to keep reading. It was hard to put it down. Just when you think evil will prevail, good sneaks in and overcomes it. True fans of King know what I am talking about. If you want suspense and excitement then read "The Stand." ...

nanpit says "interesting and debatable book" about The Da Vinci Code

My daughter introduced me to this book. I enjoy reading especially if the book has some controversial facts in it. In reading the book a few questions were brought up. How do we know Christ wasn't married---did he have any children? Where was Mary Magdalen in his life? People assume the Holy Grail is a chalice, but, do we know for sure. Does anyone really know what Michael Angelo painted (I mean like hidden pictures or meanings)? We go by other peoples opinions so why should we criticize Dan Brown's opinion. I feel a book was written for enjoyment, not to criticize. I am not a good writer (as you can see) but I do enjoy a good book. If a book brings up questions and has a person doing a little research on the topic written, then I think it is an interesting book. Thank you for reading. Nancy

P.S. I am Catholic if that matters any.
...
