mtnose says "good selection but poor shipping" about Amazon.com

I have just had my second bad experience with Amazon. I love their selection and the ease of use of their website. However, twice now I have paid for expedited shipping that they claim will GUARANTEE delivery by a certain date. The first time the item was shipped to a completely different state - the shipper's fault, but I still think Amazon should have sent me my package again and dealt with the shipper, since I didn't do anything wrong. I took a chance again last week - it's 3 days past the guaranteed delivery date and all Amazon can tell me is what the order tracking website says. After 4 emails from customer service, I find out the shipper delivers to the local post office, who then delivers the package when they feel like it, apparently. So if you tell me that up front, fine. However, don't guarantee me delivery by a certain date if you can't actually guarantee that....

mtnose says "Easy money." about MyPoints

I have been a member of My Points for several years and I am a HUGE fan. They send several emails a day - you get 5 points for clicking on a link, even if you don't do anything but look briefly at the web site the link takes you to. Sometimes you get points for registering for a site - maybe only 25, but it doesn't cost you anything. If you shop at merchants that are My Points Partners and you connect to the merchant through the My Points site you can earn varying amounts of points per dollar spent. Once you earn a certain number of points you can redeem them for gift cards at lots of different merchants - Target, Starbucks, Staples to name a few. The more points you get the higher the amount. It is really easy to earn points - they add up quickly. I use a separate email account for on-line shopping so I use that for My Points too. That way I can just log in and click on the emails when I have the time - most don't expire for at least a week....

mtnose says "Sound asleep on this mattress" about Tempurpedic Classic Mattress

My husband and I recently purchased this mattress and we are extremely happy with it. He prefers a more firm mattress while I prefer something softer; this has worked out well for us as it provides the support he wants with the comfort I want. It molds quickly to your body to support you. You do not get tossed around if your partner is moving. We got the split box springs, which is easier to move but does cause some minor creaking noises....

mtnose says "Best gin out yhrtr" about Bombay Sapphire Gin 94 1.75 liter

I must say that Bombay Sapphire is the best gin I have ever tried. It is smooth with a great flavor - no bitterness. It is excellent in gin and tonics; I have yet to try it in other gin drinks and don't care for gin straight up or on ice, so I cannot comment on that....
