mrsmadpaw says "Embrace is the best razor I have ever used" about Gillette Venus Embrace Women's Razor

I have very sensitive skin, so most regular razors just wouldn't work for me. I seemed to cut my legs with every razor I used. It was always very painful to shave, so after a while I gave up and starting using a foam for my legs. It worked great, but the smell was so strong that I was starting to get headaches from it, so I knew I was going to have to try something else. After receiving the Venus Embrace as a gift, I decided to go ahead and give it a try. I was skeptical at first, but it worked great! I used it with a sensitive skin foam, and I didn't cut myself not one time. It worked better than any other razor I had ever used, and that's really saying something. I was hooked from the first time I used it. No more terrible smelling foams for me. I have been using this razor for about six months now, and I will never use any other razor ever again. The Venus Embrace has been a life saver for me.
...

mrsmadpaw says "My Crockpot makes cooking fun!" about Crock-Pot Slow Cooker

When I moved into my first house last year, the first thing I asked my mom for was a Crockpot. I had seen how easy it was to prepare meals in hers, and knew that I needed one for myself. I am so glad that I asked for one. I use mine at least once a week, and I don't know what I would do without it. Due to a family allergy, it can be very hard for me to find foods that everyone in the house can eat. I can't serve many frozen or pre-packaged meals, so my Crockpot has been a lifesaver for us. It's especially helpful due to the fact that everyone in the house is always so busy. My soon to be husband works at least 40 hours a week, and I attend college full time, so juggling dinner can sometimes be a hassle for us. It can be very easy to just cave in and order out for dinner, but the Crockpot makes this expense unnecessary for us. Before I go to classes in the morning, I just put dinner in the Crockpot and let it do it's work for me. When I get home later that day, all I have to do is set the...
...

mrsmadpaw says "Our Toastmaster bread machine is used weekly" about Toastmaster Automatic 1.5 lb. Breadmaker

I was never a cooking type of person. Thanks to my mom, I survived mainly on Hamburger Helper and the frozen food section. That all changed when someone in our family learned that they had a soy allergy. If you aren't familiair with soy, it is in almost any food that you can think of. Almost everything we eat now has to be homemade or organic. It's turned out to be a sort of blessing for the family. Most breads contain soy flour, so one of the first things we bought after learning about the allergy was our Toastmaster bread machine. I have fallen in love with it. Thanks to this machine, I actually enjoy mixing the dough and being able to watch as it turns into a loaf. This machine has turned out to be a great asset for us. It is used at least once a week. I haven't had to buy store bought bread for months. In fact, we had family over at our house for Thanksgiving, and since we couldn't use store bought stuffing, I had to make the stuffing myself. Thanks to a really great rosemary bread...
...

At the age of 18, I decided to get my first credit card. Some people might say that was a bad idea, and I agree to an extent. However, I had a job and was somewhat responsible for my age, so I applied and was approved for a Capital One credit card. Of course, I only had a few hundred dollar limit, but it was my first credit card, and I was happy. I paid my bills on time, stayed within my balance, and was overall a good consumer. That all stopped when I lost my job a few months later. I started to depend on my card more than usual, and maxed out my card. I was having difficulty paying off my bill, so I decided to call their customer service line and let them know what was going on. I tried explaining to the person how I had lost my job, and I would of course pay off my bill, but it was going to take me a little longer to do it. He ( or she, I don't remember anymore...) seemed unconcerned with my problems, and only told me that there was nothing they could do, I just needed to pay it off....
...

mrsmadpaw says "Excedrine Migraine is a life saver" about Excedrin Migraine Caplets 100 Ct.

I starting getting migraines when I was in middle school. My mom has suffered from them my entire life, and nothing over the counter ever seemed to work for her, so when she told me about Excedrin Migraine, I knew I had to give it a try. I bought the smallest bottle they sell at first, just to try it out. Within twenty minutes of taking it, my migraine started to go away. I was shocked that something over the counter could work so fast, but it did. Within twenty minutes I went from feeling sick and not being able to handle noise and light, to feeling half-way decent. Within half an hour, I was back to my usual self. That's a lot to say for an over the counter headache medicine! Nothing I had used had ever come close to giving me those sorts of results. I have used Excedrin Migraine ever since. Nothing else I use ever seems to work quite as well. I now have two bottles with me at all times, one for home, and a smaller one that stays in my purse. I don't know what I would do without it!
...

mrsmadpaw says "My iPhone is my best friend" about Apple - iPhone (8 GB) Cell Phone

I know, I know, the iPhone is sort of over-rated. I thought the same thing before I actually owned one. I think everyone does. While it's true that it may take a little time to get used to at first, it is well worth the price. I got mine as part of my AT&T upgrade, so I didn't pay full retail price for it, but I probably would have now that I know what it's capable of. This phone really can do almost anything. I use it for just about anything you can think of. I can check my email, surf the internet, connect to iTunes, and download an application to do anything in the world almost. I have applications that allow me to read books, listen to the radio, watch what I eat, you name it, the iPhone has it. My only complaints about this phone are the facts that it doesn't have a flash for the camera (I hate that!) and it takes a while to load when you first turn it on. Other than that, after having the iPhone for a few months, it has become an essential in my life.
...

mrsmadpaw says "I love Edison College" about Edison College

I have been at Edison College (now Edison State College), since I graduated from high school in 2005. After a rough start my first few semesters, I took a year off to concentrate on work and get more serious about school. At first, when I decided to come back, I was a little scared of what was going to happen. I had left the school with horrible grades, and I was afraid that they wouldn't want me to come back. It was the exact opposite though. Because of my low GPA, I had to have a meeting with the Director of Student Services. He was a great help to me, and has continued to be a great asset and source of information. He, along with many other staff members, have made my few years at Edison enjoyable and well worth the money. The professors are always willing and able to talk to students and address any concerns. It always seems like no question is too stupid to ask. The classes may not be small (about 30 per class), but it always seems like the students get to know each other, and form...
...

mrsmadpaw says "Couldn't put Tribute down! " about Tribute

I have been a fan of Nora Roberts since I was in middle school (am 21 now), so when I saw that my mom had just finished reading her recent book Tribute, I picked it up and took it home to read it. Within the first chapter of the book, I was hooked. I have always loved how she writes. It always seems like I connect with the characters in her books to the point that I feel I know them on a personal level. This book was no exception. Her main characters, Cilla and Ford, just seem to be people that you know you would be friends with if they were real. As for the main "bad guy", without giving anything away, I will say that I was completely taken by surprise! Nora Roberts is always good at giving her books twists, and I can usually catch on, but in this book in particular, I had no idea what was going on until it was actually said. I think this has turned out to be one of my new favorite books!
...

mrsmadpaw says "My XBox 360 never sleeps!" about Microsoft - Xbox 360 Premium Console

My boyfriend was one of those people who were in line at WalMart the day the XBox 360 was released. At first I was sort of skeptical, thinking that it would just be another electronic toy that would take up more of his time. Well, I was right. However, I soon learned that this wasn't just an ordinary toy. After about a week or two, I was hooked on it myself! (This coming from a girl who is TERRIBLE at video games.) Along with the many games that we have to go along with it, we also have our XBox 360 hooked up to our computer, and we stream videos and music straight through, so we can listen and watch in our living room. With all of the things that this machine is capable of, I think it's safe to say that our system never gets turned off. My only complaint about this system is that we had to replace it a few months ago, because our old one stopped working. But, with the amount of time that we spend using it, I would say it was money well spent!
...

mrsmadpaw says "Smoothing Shea Butter shampoo is my favorite!" about Organix Smoothing Shea Butter Shampoo

Let me just start off by saying I am probably the pickiest shampoo person in the world. I have gone through what seems like hundreds of shampoos over the past few years, trying in vain to find one that I loved. I even spent extra money and tried a few from my hair dresser. None seemed to work for me... Well, I used to work at CVS Pharmacy, and while stocking the shelves one day I came across "Organix Smoothing Shea Butter" shampoo. It was on sale that week buy one get one half off, so I decided to pick up the shampoo and conditioner and give them a try. I decided after the first time I used them that I was in love. Not only does this shampoo make my hair feel smooth and light, but it is the best smelling shampoo I have EVER tried! The shampoo itself is a bit heavy, which I like, because thin shampoos just don't seem to cut it for me. They never seem to clean very well. However, despite the weight of it, it washes out clean and leaves my hair smelling great for hours. Try it, you definately...
...
