motherinme says "This camera is the best I've come across" about Nikon - D70

My husband and I received this camera for Christmas and I LOVE IT! We have 2 very active girls and it's hard to get a picture if your camera is slow. I love the Nikon D70, because not only is the shutter speed fast, but it takes numerous pictures in a matter of seconds, so I can catch candid photos of my girls playing. If I want a posed picture, the camera will allow me to take several pictures while everyone else is getting one shot. The picture is very clear, it self focuses easy, you can get a close shot very quickly with just a turn of the lens in front. I think that even someone who is not overly familiar with digital cameras could come to love and easily use this camera. The only thing that bothers me about the camera is that you have to look through the viewfinder to take the picture (my old digital camera held the shot on the screen, so I could see exactly what my picture would look like when it was taken). My father in law has this camera as well, and he can set it...
...

motherinme says "Signing Time is the BEST video you can buy" about Signing Time!

When my 3.5 year old was 1 year old, we were told that we should try Signing Time Videos. I was desperately trying to teach my "baby" sign language and although she was getting some signs, I was getting rather frustrated. I tried the videos and LOVED them. We bought the 3 first videos and she would watch them every day. I must admit, my child is very stubborn and she still does not do the signs that she was taught from these videos but she knows what they mean, so if I do the sign, she knows what I'm saying to her. I think that the videos did help enforce the signs that I was trying to teach at the time (Milk, Please, thank you, more, etc). Now, she is trying to help her sister learn sign language and I am just getting ready to dig out these videos again. I would definitely recommend them to anyone who wants to teach their children sign language. They are very interactive, they show other kids toddler age who are doing the signs, and I think that the fact some of the kids...
...

motherinme says "Bug Guard is Great for Woodsy Areas" about Avon Skin So Soft Bug Guard Plus - Gentle Breeze

We live on a Bog in Maine and I could get carried away by the bugs. I use any of the AVON Bug Gaurds and I hardly notice the bugs. Out of my whole family, I'm the one that the bugs love and would eat me alive. I hate going outdoors, but using Bug Guard allows me to play outdoors with my girls and enjoy the outdoors without fighting the bugs. I think that the smell of the Bug Guard is very pleasant, it is not overwhelming at all. I've never tested the Sun Screen aspect of Bug Guard, because the only time I usually need sunscreen is at the beach, but I have used Bug Guard on my girls and didn't find that they were affected by the sun. I did not like the blue rub on Bug Guard, it seemed to bead up, make my child a weird color. The Gentle Breeze is very smooth, easy to apply to kids and I felt that it worked well compared to other brands I have tried as far as bug dope. The thing I really like about this AVON product is that my oldest doesn't fight me about getting it put on. ...
...

motherinme says "Shower Gels are Perfect" about Avon Naturals Shower Gel

I think that AVON shower gels are perfect. They come in all different scents and they are an AVON product, which means if you don't like them, you return them for your full money back gaurantee. I understand how some people would think they are expense (the retail price is $6 per bottle) but very rarely lately are they that much. Especially with Summer Deals, they are selling for $1.99. There is always a deal on these shower gels, they are great gift ideas, they have several different fragrances and they are convenient to take on trips with you. The bottle has a shape the hooks at the top, so you can keep them hanging off your shower head for easy pour. I like the flip top for easy pouring onto a pouf or just into your hand. I love that this shower gel has a smooth texture and goes on smooth, washes off clean and leaves you with a fresh smell on your skin. I have very sensitive skin and this does not bother me, leave me itchy and I feel like I've gotten a very good clean....
...

motherinme says "Big but not bulky" about Lansinoh Breast feeding pads

At first, when I saw these, I shied away from them. They looked huge on the box cover. When my breast pads were discontinued, I couldn't find anything compatible, so I tried Lansinoh. They are wonderful! They are bigger than I expected but they keep me from leaking, which happened all the time with other brands. Lansinoh has a comfortable fit, they aren't bulky or show through my clothing. They are very thin, so I was worried that I would constantly be changing pads during the day, but usually one was sufficient for the whole day. I was shocked. They come in their own little plastic holder, so they are easy to store in the diaper bag (or whatever) when traveling. They don't tend to move around alot, stay pretty much where you put them when you put them on. I felt that they were just as comfortable, if not more so, than my bras. I have very sensitive skin, so I can usually tell when I'm wearing "extra" items, but most of the time I forgot that I was wearing nursing...
...

motherinme says "Boppy Pillow's are a life saver" about Boppy Pillow

I have 2 children, my oldest being 3 years old. She had a very hard time nursing and getting the correct positioning. The boppy pillow helped out so much, because as big a baby as she was, I could get her positioned so that I was comfortable and she was comfortable (did I mention she also had a broken collarbone, so this pillow helped take a LOT of pressure of her shoulder). My youngest had to use the boppy when she was having trouble breathing at night due to Acid Reflux. The doctor suggested putting her on an incline but I couldn't go out and purchase more baby stuff...we were on a limited budget. So, I would put her in the middle of the boppy and I was surprised at how attached to it she became. It took us quite a while to get her to sleep flat on her back, but the boppy worked to help her breath when she was little. I love my boppy and I love the fact that you can change out it's covers to match your mood or even the sex of your child. Thanks Boppy!
...

motherinme says "Nothing out there is better!" about Medela Pump In Style Advanced Shoulder Bag

I found that this product worked wonderfully around my schedule with my youngest. I tried several different pumps with my oldest, who couldn't seem to get the handle on nursing for quite some time. They were always slow and didn't get all the milk out that I felt I had for my baby. With the Madula, it works with my body, works in a fast manner so I can get on with other things I've got going on and I found that it was very easy to clean when I was done. It was convenient to carry around when we traveled. If you are planning on having several babies (more than 1), this would be worth the price. You'll buy several other pumps, which would total the cost of one of these (trust me, I've done it!) I particularly love this product because it gives you the option of using one or two pumps at a time. It has the set up to do both breasts at once or just one at a time. The only problem with 2 at a time, I found that I didn't have enough hands to balance everything, but it always...
...
