monamotz says "Pay off your home mortgage quicker!" about United First Financial (UFirst)

You hear the commercials on the radio about paying off your mortgage in half the time. Those are usually very easy programs where you pay half your mortgage payment twice a month, rather than all at once during the month. That will save you an incredible amount of interest. Also paying a little extra each month, even if it's $10 or $50, will also save you interest. — This program I have found out about, and joined, is incredible. Sure, the US banks don't want you to know about it. Because interest is where they make alot of their money. Did you realize that on a $200,000 home, if you pay every month for 30 years (at 6%) based on the bank's payment schedule, that the interest you paid at the end of 30 years is $231,000 -- that's more than the house originally cost! — So, how can you get out from under this. Most consumers, middle class, are in a downward spiral and have to keep "robbing Peter to pay Paul". This new system that has been used in...

monamotz says "personal home stereo systems - this is where the q&a starts" about Audiogon

After our 15 year old stereo receiver gave up the ghost, I was at a loss. I know there are alot of cheap, lousy receivers out there that would last maybe 5-7 years...this time around I wanted something that would last several years, and would sound really great. We have a challenge with our specific room because it is a loft and the ceiling slopes at a 45-degree angle. — I looked awhile then decided to join an internet group to find out more. After reviewing this site I joined and was in over my head, this requires alot of technical knowledge! For several weeks I just read whatever I could and monitored new postings, etc. I took some notes and checked some things out online that were mentioned, because I didn't want to spend more than $800 on the whole system (speakers, receiver, CD player, etc.) I'm an avid ebayer so I planned to set up some searches there once I figured out which brand was going to be for me. — Finally I submitted a posting asking the more...

monamotz says "great selection and easy to return merchandise" about Books A Million - Birmingham, AL

I love going into a bookstore, the smell of new books, the quiet atmosphere, browsing for my next books. Recently I went in and was in a hurry, so grabbed some books I thought I would like. Three were a series and I tried to start the first one and could not get into the plot despite about 30 pages...I tried again a week later and still had difficulty. So after a third try, I took the two books back that I had not tried to read (they were 2nd and 3rd in the series). No hassles on the return. — I asked the clerk if I could return the one I did try to read, despite having read a few pages...the spine wasn't extremely creased. She said no problem. I couldn't believe it, I thought you could not return a book that you had opened and creased the spine a little. — My next trip I took it back and just told them I couldn't get into the plot...they took it (and another book) back and gave me a gift card credit (since it was past so many days). —...

monamotz says "great fantasy read" about Priestess of the White

I picked this up recently at a bookstore in the mall, and was very pleased. Sometimes you get books home and cannot get into them. This one was a real page-turner. Sometimes the fantasy books are about another planet or some other alien species...and there is another "language" to learn. This was very much like Earth and so was easy to read. — There are 5 in the series soI am looking to get the next one. —...

monamotz says "don't stay up all night to bid on ebay!" about AuctionSniper

Many people use ebay and other auction websites to purchase goods for a better deal than retail. — Now that ebay is popular coast-to-coast (and around the world), sometimes the auction ends — at a time when you will be asleep, but you want to stay up and bid at the last minute. — AuctionSniper does this for you. It will go in at the last minute and put in your absolute highest bid. — This way, you can still win and sleep too! — When you sign up, please refer me so I can get another 3 freebies, my ID is animalrescuelady. — Thanks! —...
