momx2 says "If you like residue all over your clothes, this one's for you!!" about Surf Detergent

Did they change the formula or something? I had not used this product in over a year and decided to try if after getting a 3 dollar off coupon. Now I know why there was such a high dollar coupon. They probably can't give this junk away!! I followed the directions on the box and it still left detergent all over my clothes. The powder does not break down like soap powder should. It took 3 rinse cycles to get all of the detergent out. That's wasting my time and money every time I use it. I never had this problem when I used it a few years ago. It leaves one to wonder just what the heck they are putting in this stuff???
...

momx2 says "A great alternative for people with sensitive skin" about Tom's of Maine Natural Care Aluminum Free Lavender Deodorant

I decided to try this deodorant recently after itching repeatly for other deodorants. I had tried several different brands but within a few days the result was the same. I had seen Tom's of Maine before but the price initially kept me away. Well I'm glad I finally decided to try it. It has a nice lavender scent that is strong enough to last. I have not had any problems with itching or irritation. That has been a huge relief. It goes on smooth and doesn't leave any kind a residue or white marks. I like that it's aluminum free and wonder if that common factor in all of the other deodorants was my irritant. The price is more than I would normally pay ( $4.29 for a 2.25 oz stick) but it works and keeps me from itching, it's worth it!!!!
...

momx2 says "Great, convenient crockpot. I love it!!" about Hamilton Beach stay or go

My old reliable crockpot broke so I needed a new one. I knew I wanted one that was big enough to hold a 3-5 lb roast and one that I could travel with. I found this one, saw that it was 6 qts, and loved that you can clamp down the lid and take it with you. It also cooks fast!! If I don't have all day for something to cook, I can put it in there, set it on high, and it's done in 3- 4 .hours. I like the stainless steel finish too because it matches the rest of my appliances. The Hamilton Beach Stay or Go is a great product!!!!
...

momx2 says "Great idea, why didn't they think of this sooner?" about Bounce Dryer Bar

Great product. So simple, just stick to the drum of you dryer and forget aout it for a few months. Now I don't have to try and remember to throw in a dryer sheet when I'm putting the clothes in my dryer. It also smells nice and fresh!! Oh, and no more static filled clothes, yay!!
...

momx2 says "Durable and works very well" about Oster 12 speed blender

My husband and I bought this a few months ago after my other blender burned up. I use my blender all the time to make homemade smoothies. My old blender burned up on the bottom of the blade after a year of constant ice chopping and blending. So this time around I wanted a blade without the hard rubber teeth on the bottom. I found this particular Oster 12 speed mixer. It has a stainless steel bottom that fits over the blender base. This eliminates the possibility of the blade burning or wearing out. It also has great power and works fast and efficiently at chopping ice and blending liquids. I also like that the blender pitcher is made out of glass. I had a plastic one years ago and it cracked after about 6 months of use. This particular blender came with a bonus food processor as well. I was able to get both at a good price. Both the pitcher and the food processor bowl fit on the same base. This cuts down on counter space clutter from 2 seperate appliances. I am very pleased with this so...
...

momx2 says "Best for preventing leaks" about Huggies Goodnites Diapers

I have a 7 yr. old son who unfortunately still can't make it through the night without wetting himself. I have tried just about every kind of pull up or training pant out there and he wet through them all. After many months of frustration from having to strip his bed every morning , I decided to try the goodnites. As any parent knows, training pants are expensive and it's very frustrating to pay a lot for them only to have your child wake up soaking wet. So I was very suprised when my son woke up after the first night of wearing these and his clothes and bedding were still dry. Since then I have used both the Goodnites pull ups and the Goodnites boxers. They each work very well at holding in the wetness and not allowing my son to " flood" everywhere. I do think he prefers the boxer style though because they look less like a diaper and more like older boy underwear. I do like that Goodnites offer the choice in styles as well as sizes for older children who still haven't mastered...
...

momx2 says "Works well, pleasant scent" about Burt's Bees Green Tea & Lemongrass Hand Soap Liquid 7.5 oz

I found this item on clearance for $1.79 at my local drugstore. I've always liked the Burt's Bees line but find it too pricey. Since it was normally over $7.00,this was one deal I couldn't pass up. I put this by the kitchen sink since that's where I tend to do a lot of my hand washing throughout the day. I did have to get used the fact that this soap does not contain the same ingredients as other hand soaps and therefore does not lather up like the others. I'm so used to seeing bubbles, that I probably used more than necessary at first just to try to get a good lather. Once I got beyond that discovery I found that it cleaned my hands well without drying out my skin. Other hand soaps have taken a serious toll on my sensitive skin in the past. This was a pleasant change. I also enjoyed the green tea and lemongrass scent. It is just enough without being too overpowering. So, while I find the normal pricing too high for me I do enjoy the product and find that it does work well. Just...
...

momx2 says "Better than expected!!" about Ziploc Vacuum Starter Kit

I was at the grocery store and saw this item on sale. I just purchased a chest freezer 2 weeks ago and have been looking to try something like this to deep freeze bargains I find. Well I decided to give this a try and purchased the 1 gallon sized freezer bags to go with it, since they were also on sale and I had a coupon. I used it today for the first time to package up some boneless chicken I bought and wanted to freeze. The instructions were pretty simple: Lay the bag flat after filling, squeeze the excess air out, and slide your fingers across the zipper at the top to seal it up. Next you put the pump over the little valve that is on each bag, and push up and down a number of time to suck the excess air out the the freezer bag. It took a minute to get the hang of it, but once I did it was pretty easy and worked better than I expected. For $ 3.79 I would recommend it. There are no batteries to worrry about replacing as is true with some other similar gadgets. When you are finished...
...

I thought I would try this since it's suppose to be better for the environment. Well I used it and everything came out of the dishwasher with a film on it. My dishes glasses, and silverware looked dirtier than before I washed them. This product may be better for our water but it sure isn't good for our dishes!!!! ...

momx2 says "Great item for people on the go" about Altec Lansing inMotion® iM500 Docking Station for iPOD nano

This is a great little item for people who want to listen to their iPod without headphones but need the portability this provides. It also shuts off after 3 minutes of no audio, so you won't run down battery life if not using an adapter. One draw back is that's hard to connect your iPod to the docking base without knocking the speakers over....
