momofblandcl says "Instead of Starbucks' frappucinos, try this!" about Starbucks Frappucinos vs. Panera's Mocha

If you like Starbucks' mocha frappucino drinks, you should try Panera Bread's IC mocha, minus the mocha. It tastes VERY similar, but just not as sweet. Also, I've had Starbucks here in Oklahoma, Texas and California and have seen inconsistencies in the tastes. At $4 for a coffee, I would hope to always get what I'm paying for. Oh yeah, at Panera's, after 5 of them, you get one FREE!!! Just ask for their coffee card. Besides, Starbucks' is WAY too crowded all the time. People should go to other places to spread the money around....

momofblandcl says "Cashback is VERY tricky" about Discover - Platinum Cash Back Credit Card

Please know that when credit cards offer you "up to 1% cashback", this does not mean 1% cashback. In calling Discovercard, you have to spend different levels before the 1% can kick in. For example, for each calendar year you have the card, you get .025% cashback until you have charged $3000. Then, you might get .050% until you have charged $6000. This keeps going up until whatever it is for 1%, it could be as high as $12,000. PLUS, this resets to 0 EACH calendar year! I had been a user of their card for over 10 years (I was only 16 and naive for that long) until I realized this....
