mommyon731 says "My favorite crock pot so far!" about Hamilton Beach Hamilton Beach 33163 6 Qt Electric Slow Cooker

My crock pots were getting old and it was time to get a new one. I did lots of research and knew that I wanted the lid to lock down. I also knew that I wanted the lid to have a rubber seal.

I found this crock pot at Walmart on sale for $29.99. This price is really great compared to all the other pots on the market. It's about half the price actually.

It has the rubber seal around the lid which locks down. It also comes with a serving spoon that locks into the handle of the lid. I also love the little lable holder. I love that you can lable the contents in order to take it to a potluck.

It has 3 settings - high, low and keep warm. The keep warm is nice when even the low setting would cook it too much.

I like the black color because it doesn't show scratches and such.

The 6 quart is a very nice size. It's plenty big, but not too big for the small jobs too.
...

mommyon731 says "Cheep, simple and easy" about Safety First Deluxe Care Fold Up Booster

I believe that high chairs are something you can do without. They are usually huge, take up lots of space and hard to clean. I had a high chair, but it's now sitting in the washroom because I have no room for it in the kitchen. Most people eventually need a booster seat anyway, so why not just use the booster for the baby too.

I really like this booster because of its practicality. It's simple; just the seat, the removeable tray and straps. There are straps that fasten it to the back of a chair and ones that strap it to the seat of the chair. There are straps in the seat that can change length as baby grows. The feet on the chair have two positions to make it shorter or taller.

The best part of the booster is the removeable tray. It snaps on easily and comes off easily for cleaning. My son loves his booster and claims it as his own. It has been a very convenient chair for us to use.
...

mommyon731 says "A middle-of-the-night lifesaver!" about Fisher Price Ocean Wonders Aquarium Cradle Swing

The Fisher Price Aquarium Swing is at the top of its class. There is only one thing that I dislike about this swing and that is that the batteries seem to run down quite fast. There is not the option of an AC adapter, so we go through quite a few D batteries.

The swing seat is very padded and comfortable looking. The cover can be easily removed to wash. The seat has belt buckles as well as a tray that is removable. It seems to hold the baby very safely. Up over the baby's head is the aquarium portion of the swing. It has a fish tank for the baby to look at which has the option of lighting up. There is also a mobile of fish that rotates around the fish tank. You have the option of music or four different aquatic sounds.

The swing has 6 different speeds, but I'll be honest, they don't seem to vary much. We generally use the first speed every time. The highest speed seems a bit to rough and we never use it.

The absolute best part of the swing is that it can swing back...
...

mommyon731 says "Great entertainment for baby!" about Baby Einstein Musical Motion Activity Jumper

My son is now six months old and ready to start moving around and playing with new things. We've had exersaucers for our other boys and knew that the baby would probably love something like that. I looked for information online about the Baby Einstein Activity Jumper and read a lot of good things about it. The only negative thing that I kept encountering is that the piano seems to not work very well and eventually breaks. So, I decided to give it a try.

The price for the Activity Jumper is a little higher than most exersaucers. It seems that you can find several others for about $10-$20 cheeper. However, I really like the toys on the the Baby Einstein as well as the fact that it doubles as a jumper. That takes away one more baby gadget that I have to store. It also remedys the fact that you have to take up a doorway with a traditional jumper.

The Baby Einstein Activity Jumper has bright and exciting colors. There are four stations of toys placed around the perimeter...
...

mommyon731 says "Smells good enough to eat!" about Burt's Bees Baby Bee Apricot Baby Oil 4oz

The only problem I have with Burt's Bees Apricot Oil is that you may want to eat your baby after applying it to him. This stuff smells so good!! I used it when my baby was just weeks old and I still use it today at 6 months old. The product is made with with natural ingredients as opposed to synthetic scents. This makes it much better for my baby's skin. I also like it because the oils are so good for his skin topically, but also good for him as his skin absorbs it into his body.

The main thing that I've used Burt's Bees Apricot oil for is my son's cradle cap. He doesn't have very much to speak of, but I really like to keep it under control. I put the oil on his head after every bath so that his scalp doesn't get dry.

In summary, I believe this to be one of the best moisturizing baby products on the market.
...

mommyon731 says "It's the only formula I feel comfortable feeding my baby." about Earth's Best Soy Formula

Earth's Best organic soy formula is one of just a few organic soy baby formulas available. There are other organic formulas that I think are find, but I like Earth's Best the best.

My son has galactocemia. This means that he does not possess the enzyme needed to break down galactose, a compound in milk. Not only was he not aloud to breast feed, but he is not allowed to have any milk products. This sent us searching for the best available soy organic product. I did all my research even going so far as to writing Earth's Best to inquire about their use of genetically modified ingredients. Not only were they informative and happy to reassure that they DO NOT use GMOs or pesticides, but they send several money-saving coupons good towards the purchase of their formula.

Earth's Best soy has been the one formula that seemed the most gentle on my baby's tummy. He struggles with constipation and this formula has been the least problematic in that area. The value is very good too. ...
...

mommyon731 says "These are the best diapers I've ever used!" about Pampers Baby Dry

I'm currently diapering my third baby boy. So, as an experienced mom, I've tried just about every brand of diaper there is. There are some that I thought were so awful that I couldn't even finish the bag. Then, there are some that I'm willing to pay full price for and not even use a coupon. The Pampers Baby Dry fall into the latter catagory. I love these diapers!

My favorite thing about Pampers is that they are soft and cloth-like. My biggest beef with diapers is that they often feel like paper. You can even hear them cruching as the baby moves. Pampers, however, are so soft and gentle against my baby's skin. Even the elastic around the legs is soft and gentle. I also really like the fact that Pampers are thin and not bulky, yet they are super absorbant.

I will be honest and say that there are a few other brands that I'll use if I can find an awesome deal (only because I'm a deal-finding, coupon-cutting mama). But, Pampers are by far my preference.

...

mommyon731 says "very smelly!" about Huggies Soft Skin Baby Wipes

I'm always looking for wipes that are gently on my baby's skin. For some reason all of my boys have had trouble with wipes. I can't just get by with the cheap ones. Generally speaking I look for wipes that say they are gentle or scent free.

I did not care for the the Huggies Soft Skin baby wipes for two reasons. One is that they are very smelly. Some people might consider this a good smell, I wouldn't say that it was offensive. It's just very strong and overpowering. I can't handle products that are so smelly. I also don't think that these artificial smells are good for my baby's skin. The second thing is that Huggies baby wipes in general seem very course and paper-like. They tear easily and often tear apart as I'm pulling them out of the wipes container.

In summary, these are not my favorite wipes. I wouldn't turn them down in a pinch, but they are not at all my first choice.
...

mommyon731 says "Amongst baby bottles, Playtex vent-aire is my number one choice." about Playtex Ventaire Baby Bottles

I have used Playtex Vent-aire bottles with all three of my boys. Some small things have changed over the past six years, but they've been good improvements. Just recently Playtex started making their bottles BPA free, which I believe to be a big plus. I love the angled bottle to make feeding easier. It's especially nice when the babies begin holding their own bottles. I truly believe that these bottles were a lifesaver with my first baby. He spit up a lot and these bottles helped to make sure that he wasn't getting air while he sucked.

There are two things that I see as a problem with these bottles. One is that there are several small pieces to keep track of and wash. One bottle has six pieces: cap, nipple, nipple ring, bottle, vent and vent ring. While I know that all these are necessary, it is a lot to keep track of. Also, with my most recent purchase I've had trouble with the ounce markings coming off. Several of my bottles are such that they have no markings at...
...
