mlk001 says "Boudreaux's Butt Paste Works For Us!" about Boudreaux's Butt Paste Diaper Rash Cream

There I was, shopping, when I picked up a box that caught my eye:

"Boudreaux's Butt Paste was specifically formulated by a pharmacist with direction from a respected pediatrician to provide effective diaper rash care. It spreads on easily, cleans off quickly, and has a pleasant scent. Questions or comments? 1-800-252-4739. www.buttpaste.com".

I know, right? It's called "butt paste". I mean, if you are confident enough to put yourself out there selling a product called "butt paste", you had better make sure you have a decent product!

With this in mind, I say to my other half, "you better get a tub of that stuff, it can't miss!". I was then perplexed as she said to me, "let's just get a tube to try it". Are you kidding me? She's Taurus the Bull! The one that charges into every endeavor! I am now deeply offended that she has taken my normally skeptical stance!

"Look, here", I say to her. "This ingredients list shows: zinc oxide with boric acid, castor oil, mineral oil, paraffin, Peruvian balsam...
...

mlk001 says "My First Signs provides an awesome experience!" about Baby Einstein My First Signs - See and Sign with Baby

Baby Einstein's "My First Signs - See and Sign with Baby" is a fantastic experience that should be enjoyed by all parents and their children. This DVD opens doors that were not available when some of us were small and gives your child(ren) a great start in the world of communication.

This DVD, like all Baby Einstein works, is a bit deceptive because Einstein loads their DVDs with music and images that can sometimes appear to be random. The difference here, though, is that this DVD is more focused as it successfully teaches your child some of the most basic and first used words from many homes. Some of the words they put to pictures, video and music are: mommy, daddy, baby, kiss, and I love you. It's extremely helpful to show so many related images for each word. Learning becomes all that much easier for even the brightest child.

This video has clips of puppets that children find entertaining. The toys that are used throughout this, and all Baby Einstein videos, are always interesting....

...

mlk001 says "Great little camera the whole family can use!" about Pentax - M40 Digital Camera

The Pentax Optio M40 is a great little camera that has come in handy on many occasions. This Pentax camera holds an impressive amount of pictures and ours currently has 431. Our family has a digital movie camera that takes pictures but it is unwieldy when attempting to take a few snapshots, especially if you have smaller children that never seem to stop moving!

That's where the M40 comes in. This camera is small enough to go in some of the very smallest purses and easily fits into your pants pocket. This feature alone has been invaluable to us. We can take the camera anywhere we go and get the shots we never could have, or would have, in the past. We even have pictures of our smallest child immediately after she was delivered. It is not possible for me to describe how incredible it was to get those shots, at that moment, as effortlessly as I did. Wow!

We were familiar with the Pentax name but had never owned their products until we had gotten the E40 model for our daughter that loves to...

...

mlk001 says "This is a ridiculous machine." about Maytag Dishwasher MDBH940AWB

When I was a kid, I had relatives that aspired to own Maytag appliances. These were, apparently, highly coveted items built by Americans that belonged to a union. Whether or not there are unions is a story for another day, but the story of a strong American company is in the here and now.

When we recently demolished our kitchen, and replaced everything, we were not sure if we would remain at the home. We wanted what we thought were quality appliances for a reasonable price. We believed that while Maytag was not the top of the line, it was a recognized appliance that everyone could appreciate.

One of the items that we purchased was the MDBH940AWB dishwasher (with the added sound pack).

First, the sound pack for diminishing noise is the most ridiculous thing I have ever seen. It is a thin piece of plastic, similar to plastic wrap but a bit thicker, that "wraps" around the dishwasher. (Think plastic you would wrap dishes in if you were moving.) Whatever.

Secondly, because we had the old dishwasher...

...

mlk001 says "A good looking and dependable vehicle with functionality." about Mercury Mountaineer - 2002

So the question came, "You actually go to shop at Whole Foods market, with your reusable bags for the good of the environment...in a Mercury Mountaineer?".

The response came easily, "Of course!". "You see, we have the two of us and three kids, to start with. The three rows of seating can accommodate seven and still bring home the bacon. The second row seating provides 40/20/40 folding seats. That means two car seats can be on board and a seat still folds down for access to the third row. We can also keep everyone comfortable with the separate heating and cooling system for the rear".

Another question, "Aren't you concerned about green house gasses and global warming, not to mention gas prices?".

The next response? Just as easy. "Of course we are concerned and we want our children to have a world to grow up in, but this Mercury Mountaineer is just for running errands and going to work. We put about 6,000 miles a year on it and that is less than a lot of people in economy vehicles. As for...

...

mlk001 says "The Blackberry 8310 has been fantastic!" about Blackberry - Curve 8310 Cell Phone

The 8310 has, to date, been the only phone I have owned that delivers what I want. The battery life has diminshed a bit since new, but I expect that. Also, this phone seems to leave a bit to be desired in voice quality and can cut out a bit during calls. This is a nonissue for me as I mainly text, and it certainly doesn't keep this Smartphone from delivering. The full qwerty keyboard is such a relief for texting. (I have larger hands and I didn't feel I could use the Pearl, efficiently). Please, do yourself a favor and spring for the unlimited texting and data so that you can truly enjoy this phone. Viewing web pages is a joy and the larger screen is perfect for this. Email through the phone is a very nice feature and is a breeze. I also love the ability to capture so much information about each of my contacts! However, the single most useful tool, for me, just might be the calendar! Appointments can be made and texted right to my Blackberry! I just accept what I want and the calendar...
...

mlk001 says "This Sears Grand is clean, current and congenial!" about Sears - Lenexa, KS

I have gone to this store for years. This store was previously a Kmart. When the store was a Kmart it seemed cluttered but the parking lot was always spacious and clean and the people were always friendly. In fact, it's the people that made the store great then and they continue to make it great now. Many of the people at the store have been there for years and they are a part of the community. They live and work here like we do, and their kids go to the same schools as ours. I like knowing that community neighbors are at the store and I don't want to see turn over. If I wanted snot nosed punks to help me, I'd go to my local big box electronics store. The store is more focused now that it's a Sears Grand, and it's upgraded with great Sears stuff! Special thanks to the vision of management. Here's hoping this store is here for many more years!...

mlk001 says "Lotrimin AF. Great for baby's private area issue!" about SCHERING PLOUGH LotriminAF 12g Athlete's foot

Ok, so who would have thought I would have said that? This stuff is apparently for Jock Itch and Athlete's Foot (which, the fact that it works in both of those areas, is amazing on it's own) but also works on baby's rash/infection *follow all instructions*! I mean, really, who would have thought?...
