misslee76 says "No more burning baby butts!" about Boudreaux's Butt Paste Diaper Rash Cream

As a foster parent, I've had alot of baby placements so I've seen my share of diaper rash. Of all the creams I've tried, this one is one of the best! It's a little pricy, but worth it. Seriously, this one usually takes away the majority of the redness super quick! It's sometimes a little bit hard to spread, but it works! It also doesn't leave the cakey residue like some of the other creams which isn't helpful when you're trying to clean a "rashy" baby....

misslee76 says "Versatile...grows with baby!" about havent seen any good ones

Avent bottles are versatile since they have the variable flow nipples starting with 1 for newborns up to the "y" cut nipples for full flow. They also have the nipples that have the 3 different flow levels in one nipple. This one was a little confusing at first since you have to line the "level" up with the baby's nose, but once we got the hang of it, it worked well.

They also have handles that you can put on the bottles which helps the baby learn how to easily hold it's bottle and helps transitioning to sippy cups. They have training lids for teaching kids to learn how to drink out of a sippy cup.

I'm a foster parent and never know which age child I'm going to get, so having the versatility of Avent makes my life so easy! I don't have to have a million different types of bottles and sippy cups overflowing my cabinets. These work for preemie babies up to toddlers!

The only con I've come upon so far is occasionally, if you don't put the lid on the bottle correctly, you'll have a...
...

misslee76 says "Make sure you clean out the washer filter!!" about Whirlpool Duet - Washer Dryer

Picked the duet set when we bought our new house. Love the large tub! I can wash a queen size comforter no problem at all. I also like the "delay" switch on the washer. I have an on/off peak electricity plan and can program the wash to start during "off peak" hours.

My biggest tip is to make sure that you clean out the washer filter regularly. There is nothing in the manual about this! The filter is behind the kick plate of the washer in the front. You have to remove the kick plate and open the filter (have towels and a bucket ready cause there will be water in there!) Open the filter slowly and once the water has been drained, remove any debris in there. I seriously found a child's sock, a sponge, a broken in half ball point pen, 2 ponytail holders and 6 toothpicks (along with some NASTY smelly gunk!)

I didn't find all this till AFTER my drain pump got broken cause of all the stuff in the filter costing me almost $500.

Otherwise, love my duets!
...
