mfbeets6 says "Tempurpedic Classic Mattress" about Tempurpedic Classic Mattress

Tempurpedic Classic Mattress

Comfortable for some, Good spinal support.

Medical experts and chiropractors say the Tempur-Pedic Classic foam mattress provides excellent spinal support; this means it allows your hips and shoulders to sink into the mattress while supporting your legs and waist. However, there's scant evidence that memory foam mattresses are actually healthier, and owners say this type of mattress can take some getting used to. Foam mattresses aren't as "squishy" as innerspring mattresses, and some users say the Tempur-Pedic can feel too firm in cold weather (since the foam reacts to room temperature). Others complain of feeling "swallowed up" and say the mattress traps body heat. There's a competing budget brand of foam mattress, the Bergad Isoform Classic (*est. $800 queen size, plus *est. $180 for box spring) -- but you can't try it out in stores. Even so, owners generally say it's comparable in quality to Tempur-Pedic for less. We have owned a Tempur-pedic King for...
...

Whistler DE-1730 - The Cheapest Detector Which Has The Potential To Save You

The Whistler DE-1730 is one of the cheapest detectors that I've ever used. I compared it face-to-face against the Cobra ESD-6060 which costs about the same. The Cobra may look better with its display, but the Whistler DE-1730 actually manages to scan out police radar and provide some early warning. Here's what I found with the Whistler DE-1730.

-Price-
*The Whistler DE-1730 is a very cheap radar detector. You can find it for about $50 and less. I wouldn't recommend buying a detector for so little money, but at least you're not getting a pile of crap with the Whistler DE-1730. It may not be the best looking detector, but it does provide good X-band coverage, and barely sufficient K and Ka band coverage. If you can't spend more than $50, then the Whistler DE-1730 might be the ideal detector for you, don't go bother looking at Cobra or anything else. Whistlers are known to provide good performance at a low-price, and...
...

mfbeets6 says "Sony Playstation 3 console" about Playstation 3 - 40GB

Sony Playstation 3 console
Best family-friendly game console
Critics agree that the Nintendo Wii is addictive, intuitive and fun -- even after the novelty of the innovative Wii Remote has worn off. Nintendo chooses not to compete with Xbox 360 or PS3 when it comes to realistic graphics. Rather, the focus is on the Wii Remote -- a unique motion-sensitive controller that gets players off the couch, waving the controller around in the air. Reviews agree that hardcore gamers will be disappointed in the Wii, but that's not the Wii's intended audience. Rather, experts say the Nintendo Wii is great for families and groups. If you prefer intense first-person-shooter games or epic fantasy gaming, you'll be happier with an Xbox 360. But reviews agree that the Nintendo is more of a crowd-pleaser.
Best high-end gaming console
Reviews agree that the PlayStation 3 is technologically superior to the Xbox 360 -- at least on paper. But graphics and realism are great on both systems and the Xbox 360 continues...
...

mfbeets6 says "Nintendo Wii Fit" about Nintendo Wii Fit

Nintendo Wii Fit
Wii Fit takes the whole concept of games as exercise to a new level with the inclusion of a balance board peripheral that can tell you on the fly exactly how well--or how poorly--you're doing with its various activities. As such, Nintendo is heavily marketing this innovative title as a mixture of fitness and fun, and for the most part it works. It's a decent alternative for those bored with the repetitiveness of going to a gym or too self-conscious to join a yoga or aerobics class. Unfortunately, Wii Fit is hamstrung by some odd omissions (such as not being able to create your own program from the available exercises) and questionable health advice, limiting its effectiveness both as a fitness tool and as a game.
At the core of the Wii Fit experience is the new balance board, an elegant-looking yet surprisingly sturdy peripheral which features several internal scales that can detect changes in weight and pressure as you're standing on it. The board--which is also quite hefty...
...

Microsoft's Xbox 360 Elite is here, and this version of the sleek, matte-black game console offers more than just cosmetic improvements. The unit's bolstered specs--such as a 120GB hard disk drive and an HDMI 1.2 connector, perfect for today's high-def TVs--mean more room to store digital content and a better way to view high-definition content.

The good: Excellent selection of games, including many 360-only exclusives; all games are in native high-definition; user-friendly Dashboard interface; supports wireless controllers and accessories; Xbox Live service offers online multiplayer (with matchmaking and voice chat) and content downloads for most games; backward compatible with many--but not all--original Xbox titles; doubles as a superior digital media hub and Windows Media extender; online Marketplace allows easy purchases of minigames, add-on gaming content, high-def movies, and TV shows.

The bad: The Elite fails to correct most of the annoyances of the original 360 version: the noisy...
...

mfbeets6 says "garmin emap" about Garmin - eMap

garmin emap--- There has never been a better time to buy a personal global positioning satellite (GPS) receiver for finding out where you are and where you are going. Yesteryear's slow, inaccurate, expensive, PC-hostile and cumbersome GPS units are definitely a thing of the past. The new Garmin eMap demonstrates how good and affordable GPS has become for a wider range of users.

By a lucky co-incidence, Garmin's latest GPS model, aimed squarely at mass-market users rather than just sailors, aviators and anglers, arrived in the UK just prior to a much welcomed initiative from the US government. Until 1st May this year, civilian access to the global GPS system had been deliberately nobbled by the US military - after all, it is their system. Through the use of a scheme called selective availability (SA), spurious inaccuracy was deliberately introduced to the network to prevent non-US military users from getting maximum accuracy from the GPS system. When SA was shut off, for good - by presidential...
...

George Foreman GRV660 Toaster Oven with Convection Cooking

I returned this product without even using it.

The first thing I noticed was that there is a hole in the top which is almost as large as the top! The idea is that the bun warmer is set into the hole to keep fresh bread warm. However, while baking or otherwise using the oven, heat will escape from around the edges of the bun warmer.

Secondly, the edges of the front door don't meet the frame of the oven. I could almost put the tip of my little finger into one of the spaces. Another place where heat will escape.

Since my reason for buying a toaster oven was to save energy, the two above deficiencies were enough for me to return the toaster oven without even plugging it in!

George, you can do better than this

Because I have other George Foreman products that are very good, I was very disappointed in this one. The racks are made of wire that is not strong enough to hold a pyrex 6 inch by 8 inch glass dish filled with a pasta and vegetable...
...
