http://www.viewpoints.com/aboutme/meblkbear35 Thu, 22 May 2008 12:48:50 GMT Reviews by meblkbear35 http://www.viewpoints.com/Acer-Aspire-laptop-review-e6579 I was extrememly surprised by the Acer Aspire 3000 laptop I purchased.  Initially I was kinda let down however.  After purchasing at Circuit City for $700 with a $150 rebate, I had the first computer for a week before icons started disappearing and it wouldn't boot properly.  I tried to resolve this issue by running the restore disk. but it didn't want to accept it...so...after another week, I took the unit back to the store for a refund.  After telling them that I hadn't registered the unit yet, they decided to just replace it with a new one and told me that the motherboard was no good(this was after inspection).  I got the new onw home and have absolutely loved it.  It is now going on 3 yrs old and it still is a great performer.  I would highly recommend this computer to anyone on a budget or a student.  Great buy! ...
