http://www.viewpoints.com/aboutme/me4wishful Sat, 06 Dec 2008 23:33:58 GMT Reviews by me4wishful http://www.viewpoints.com/ING-Direct-Savings-Account-and-CDs-review-f5696 I love my ING Direct savings account and cd.  I've been with them since the end of 2004.  I was a little hesitant about an online only bank in the beginning but after 4 years I have complete confidence in them.  I use USAA for everything else but could not find a higher interest rate for savings than ING.  Right now is not very high (here or anywhere) but it is still higher than other places by quite a bit.  It is very easy to use and make transfers in and out.  There is a limit per month on transfers out but it is a savings not a checking account so I do nott see why you would need more.  I have had short term cd's with them a few times.  I always make sure to keep an eye out when the term is about to end because they automatically renew so if the interest rate is not what I want, I will transfer to the savings account.  I usually do it over the phone and a lot of the time they will offer you a little bit better of a rate.  Their customer service is English speaking and...... Sat, 06 Dec 2008 23:33:58 GMT http://www.viewpoints.com/ING-Direct-Savings-Account-and-CDs-review-f5696 me4wishful 5 http://www.viewpoints.com/USAA-Banking-and-Insurance-review-a2586 I cannot express how much I love USAA.  Right now I have checking, credit, auto loan, auto insurance and home owners insurance with them and have no interest in changing.  The only thing that could change would be auto insurance if we moved to a different state because one state that we lived in Progressive was several hundred dollars a year cheaper for the same coverage.  However where we are now, USAA is cheaper.  I wrote a separate review for the credit card so I'm not going to go into that too much... low interest rate, no fees, great customer service, easy online banking, and great rewards program.  My favorite service from USAA though is the checking account.  I LOVE it!  If you take out money at ATM's, not only do they not charge you a fee, but they actually reimburse the fees that the ATM's bank charged.  It is put directly back into your account once a month.  There is a limit, it's like up to 10 times and up to $15 or something like that but seriously that's a lot of...... Sat, 06 Dec 2008 23:14:21 GMT http://www.viewpoints.com/USAA-Banking-and-Insurance-review-a2586 me4wishful 5 http://www.viewpoints.com/USAA-platinum-mastercard-review-426f4 I absolutely love my USAA Platinum rewards mastercard.  My husband and I had changed our bank (credit cards included) about 3 times in about 4 years because we just didn't like the previous ones.  Once we decided to start banking with USAA (we already had insurance with them) we have not changed since and I have not intention of leaving.  The thing I love the most is the checking account but that is another review.  This credit card is great.  Our rate is less than 7% here when it was more than 4% higher at other "military friendly" banks.  We never pay any sort of fees and the rewards program helps us save even more.  You have the option to get cash back or you can choose a giftcard, plane tickets, merchandise, etc.  We decided to cash out getting travel vouchers because we got more bang for our buck than getting the cash and we had to buy the plane tickets anyway.  The customer service is top of the line.  We have never had a problem with them at all and it is always very speedy. ......
