mdressler says "Tad id rad!!! - cheesy, I know...;)" about LeapFrog Hug and Learn Baby Tad

This was the very first toy that my wife and I purchased for our daughter when she was a baby. We chose this toy for all of it's wonderful features. It is very colorful, teaches shapes, and colors, lights up, plays music, and songs. Our daughter was able to pick out her shaped at an early age when asked, and able to identify colors as well. At night, she would lay in he crib for hours just playing and cooing and "talking" to her baby Tad. There is also a cute little lip print on Tad's cheek that makes a "Smooch" sound and then Tad says "I love you."

This toy is still going strong. My daughter is now 6 and her 3 year old brother will still play with it from time to time.

Our only "con" is that there is no volume control. They do have newer versions of Tad since we purchased our 6 years ago, so there may be one now.
...

mdressler says "Helps your children to excell at reading." about LeapFrog: Letter Factory

My wife and I started purchasing Leap Frog products when our daughter, who is now 6, was a baby. We have found the Leap Frog products to be very educational and fun learning tools. We purchased the Letter Factory DVD for our daughter when she was around 18 months. She mastered her alphabet in no time. A year or so later, we purchased the Talking Words DVD. She was able to spell and read at an early age. She is in first grade now and can read with ease. We now have a 3 year old who loves these DVDs. He is now starting to understand the basic word concepts and loves reading as well....

mdressler says "Bond with your children, while learning a new language." about Signing Time!

My wife and children watch Signing Time every Sunday at 7:00am. We are not a hearing impared family, but we enjoy learning the new language. My wife works at a Middle School and she has been able to use some of the things that she has learned from Signing Time to communicate with parents and students. This is a fun, interactive program that is not only an educational tool that children will like, but adults will enjoy as well.

The co-founder of Signing Time, Rachel Coleman created the show when she discovered that her daughter, Leah, was deaf. Rachel also has another daughter, Lucy who has spina bifida and cerebral palsy. Together, Rachel and her sister Emilie, created this wonderful teaching tool that features Rachel, her daughter Leah and her nephew Alex.
...

mdressler says "I love this site! Easy to scrapbook!!!" about Shutterfly.com

My wife introduced me to this site after showing me the baby books that she made for each of our children. The quality and ease of making a simple scrapbook is unmatched in any other photo site that I have been on. We have about 8 books made now (5 for our 6 year old and 3 for our 3 year old). Our plan is to make 1 book for every year up until they turn 18 and then give them their set of books at graduation. It is simple to upload photos, and just as easy to create anything from photobooks, to claendars, coffee mugs, posters, mouse pads, and the list goes on. The possibilities are endless for creating different themes and backgrounds. The only problem that I ever had, was when the site did and update and changed some of thier background options. I lost some of the things that I had been working on, but fixed it in no time and I like it better now....

mdressler says "Great bottles! Worth the money!" about Playtex Ventaire Baby Bottles

My wife purchased these bottles when we had our first child after a friend recommended them to us. We loved these bottles from day 1! A bit pricey, but worth the money. You can hear the air escaping from the bottom of the bottle as your child drinks. We never had problems with cholic or gas from our baby and she slept throughout the evenings whithout any problem. She rarely had issues with spitting up and we truly believe that it is due to these bottles. They are easy to clean - we just run them through the top rack of the dishwasher. The bottles are also bent slightly, so that your child can drink easier. If the nipples wear out, you can just stop at your local grocery store to replace them. My wife always purchases a pack of these for baby showers!
...

mdressler says "Never again!!!" about Colonial Park Diner - Harrisburg, PA

Like the other people who posted before me, I have eaten at this diner on 2 occasions. Each time the restaurant was under new ownership and each time the visit was disappointing. The first time, was for breakfast. I always order my eggs scrambled - well done. They were anything but! The eggs were undercooked and slimy. I found the staff to be very unfriendly and not eager to put forth any effort to make the customers happy.

The second time was for lunch. Just as bad, if not worse than the first visit. The wait just to take my order was horrible and it had noting to do with how many people were dining! The staff stood around talking, complaining, some went out for cigarettes - even my waitress!!!! I will never go back to this place again. They may be cheap, but sometimes you get what you pay for...
...

mdressler says "Small kennel offers their big hearts to your pets." about River Oaks Boarding Kennels - - Newport, PA

I have boarded my dogs with River Oaks for the past 8 years or so. It is a very clean kennel and I would'nt take my dogs anywhere else. The kennel is a smaller kennel, but the owners have big hearts. They treat each dog as if they were their own. At Christmas my dog would always receive a card. Last year, my dog was hit by a car and I had to put him down. The Huffords sent me a really nice card and a plaque in memory of my pet. How many other kennels will do that!!?? I now have another dog who boards at River Oaks and I am very pleased with this kennel!!!
...
