mccullszoo says "Could shop til you drop" about Grand Bazaar - Istanbul

If you like to shop, this is the place for you. Talk about the ultimate mall. This bazaar is totally enclosed, with what seemed like thousands of narrow streets and little alleyways (be careful you could get lost and never find your way out), selling a huge variety of items from the ubiquitous rugs, to silver jewelry, to purses, to belly dancing costumes, to pottery, to you name it. Bartering is of course the name of the game. Everyone is trying to get you to buy, but somehow it didn't seem obnoxious, Excellent prices too. Great little restaurants for lunch - you don't even have to leave the...

mccullszoo says "See ancient Rome without the crowds" about Ephesus, Turkey

Ephesus is in such a beautiful quiet country setting. I took a horse drawn cart up to the top of the site and got to walk down rather than going in the main entrance and having to walk up I had seen a lot of pictures of the Library ruins, but did not realize that I would be the Lone Ranger looking around it. Samr for the amphitheater. I was the only person sitting in it. Going off season (April) probably didn't hurt. There were thousands of red poppies blooming throughout the ruins -...

I have given this magazine to people for Christmas more than a year in a row at the recipient's request. Now I subscribe to it as well. Always interesting and informative. Very readable for the lay person. Has a large variety of topics every...

mccullszoo says "great for cats with asthma" about Tidy Cats Multiple Cat Litter

I llike this product because it clumps well. But I like it even better because it doesn't exacerbate my cat's asthma. For a clay litter, it is relatively...

mccullszoo says "Look here before you book" about TripAdvisor

I always check trip advisor before I book a hotel. I like to see the details and also find out what other people think of a place. The pictures are also very helpful - especially the ones posted by the reviewers who have stayed there. Sometimes the contrast between the pictures the hotel posts and the reviewers post is remarkable and I am cautious about booking. Sometimes the reviewers have very different opinions about a place - but it's always helpful to see what the pitfalls of a place might be....

mccullszoo says "great place to buy inexpensive books" about Half.com

I love to read and I love a bargain. I hate to pay full price for books. Half.com is a great way to get a bargain on a book. This site has had almost every book I've searched for. The vendors have proved to be reliable and prompt and the books have arrived in the condition described on the website. I even had one vendor credit me back my purchase price because he found the book wasn't in the condition it was described - and he sent me the book anyway for free. Now you can't beat...

mccullszoo says "I can get united miles for free" about MyPoints

I love to travel on my United Miles. I get most of my mileage points from Safeway and my credit card, but I'm spending money in order to get mileage points. With my points, I really don't have to spend money. I just open all the MyPoints emails and if I really see a bargain and it's something I intended to buy, I will purchase it; otherwise I won't. I will also fill out all the consumer questionnaires and get points that way. It doesn't take that long. —...

mccullszoo says "very little dust" about Tidy Cats Small Spaces Scoopable Litter

I have a cat who suffers from asthma so it's ivery mportant to me that his environment is as dust free as possible. I tried a lot of different products - all kinds of clay cat litter and a few others that were non clay, but I keep coming back to Tidy Cat as the one that works the best for me and my cat. The main reason is that it seems to have the least dust of any of the clay products. It also clumps well and is easy to scoop...

mccullszoo says "It stays on your eyelashes and doesn't drift" about Neutrogena mascara

I used to use Revlon Waterproof for many years, but they must have changed their formula recently because it started to run. If there's one thing I really hate, it's my mascara ending up under my eyes. Such a nasty look! My daughter told me to try Neutrogena. Neutrogena really stays put, but is not hard to remove. It comes right off with soap and water. I have tried several of their mascaras. I like the Black Brown the best. It shows up, but isn't too harsh. Anopther thing I like about this brand is that it doesn't clump either. A definite plus for...
