mattnlizjones says "Great toy, but do some research" about Blue Hat Toy Company Blue Hat Toy Company Kids Mp3 player

My mother-in-law bought this Blue Hat Toy Company mp3 player for my two year old. I had never heard of Blue Hat Toy Company but I did some research and read reviews and I'm glad I did. But I also read a lot of reviews of people who didn't figure this out so here's your warning:...

After fiddling with this for a long time, I realized that you have to turn it on (at the back) and THEN press the green play button to get it to actually power up. I kept thinking the batteries were dead or something when it didn't come on when I turned it on. It's a stupid design flaw, and I hope they fix it if they make a new version. But once you get past that, it works pretty well. It's durable and my kid has thrown it across the room and it still works. The batteries seem to last for a long time. I like that you can load your own music using a USB cable. I took off the silly songs that came on it and loaded on ones that my son likes.
...

mattnlizjones says "Good stuff if you can't breastfeed" about Enfamil Lipil Formula with Iron

I have used both Enfamil and Similac powder formulas for both my babies. Of course everyone will tell you breastfeeding is best, and I did as much as I could but still needed to supplement with formula. I preferred Enfamil Lipil with Iron to the Similac formulas because the powder was easier to measure and not as clumpy as the Similac stuff.

Formula is expensive, so I appreciate that Enfamil sends you free samples in the mail and also provides free stuff at the doctor's office and/or hospital. Also, when you're on the mailing list, you get formula checks that are good for $5 off every can of formula you buy. I got at least ten checks with each of my kids.

I tried the soy kinds and the stuff for babies with gas but they obviously have a much different taste because my babies would not drink them at all! Try to get free samples of new kinds before you buy a bunch of it.
...

mattnlizjones says "Completely died after a little more than a year" about hp HP Desktop desktop computer

I was pretty disappointed that our HP Destop which we bought brand new at Best Buy completely died after a little more than one year. Of course since it was just over one year they wouldn't do anything about it and said the warranty was up, etc, etc. So I guess the motherboard just completely bit the dust, we were able to salvage the hard drive.

I have not been impressed with the HP computers, a friend also had one that was constantly having problems. On the other hand we have a Compaq Presario 2100 laptop that we've had for six years and is still working just fine! So you have to wonder about Hewlett Packard.

Anybody else had similar bad experiences with HP computers? I wonder if we just got a bad one or if HP just skimps when it comes to the construction of their computers.
...

mattnlizjones says "6 years and still going strong" about Compaq Compaq Presario 2100

So my husband bought this laptop like six years ago when he started college at Oregon State University and it's still working! Most of my friends and family members have been through at least one or two or even three laptops in the same amount of time, but this one is still going strong. I'm impressed to say the least.

It's not impressive any more since it only has 40 GB hard drive and it can be slow at times but I think the important thing to note is that Compaq must make a pretty good system if it's still working after six years of consistent use. We bought an HP desktop computer and it lasted less than two years before completely dying. My sisters have Macs and some of them have lasted just barely over a year and then they had to buy new ones!

I'd say for a good basic laptop this is a good brand to go with, and I'm happy to recommend them for your laptop needs.

mattnlizjones says "Great, easy to store and clean chair" about Evenflo Evenflo Expressions High Chair

This was a great chair for us, it folds easily to store in the closet, the tray removes so you can clean it, and the chair reclines. I like that Evenflo has series so you can get your high chair, pack n play and carseat and stroller combination to match. The padding on the high chair comes off so you can throw it and the straps in the washing machine because babies are messy eaters.

Shop around on amazon and walmart.com to find the best prices - I've noticed that a lot of stores especially department stores have them overpriced.messy eaters
