They give you a more sense of control on your board. They might tear easily but they're still good. The grip is alright. Nice for the price. I got mine for around thirty dollars. I have a Dell Dimension 2400 and its fantastic. No problems so far. They're fast and productive.  I would definitely recommend them. My Dell only came with 256 ram so i just added another 256 to make it 512. I also added a DVD writer. So, now its better....
