mandysue22 says "mwa! so moisturizing that you'll want to kiss yourself" about Blistex Complete Moisture

It was a dry and bitter cold winter, and my poor lips were chapped almost beyond recognition. I did some online research to find a moisturizing chapstick that wouldn't cost me my gold tooth, and yet would work effectively and quickly. Most chapsticks I tried worked well for about 9.3 seconds, then they made my lips feel slightly sticky, compelling me to do that fatal "licking my lips," which would invariably cause them to chap worse. Then I found a stray coupon and made the best drugstore purchase of my life - Blistex Complete Moisture.

I still recall the first time I applied it. :-) I was sitting ever-so-pleasant in my office, and pulled out Complete Moisture for one of my exceptionally chapped moments. It went on my lips so incredibly smoothly! I felt as though I had just given my lips a soothing bubble bath in pure citrus bliss.

The initial moisturizing sensation is amazing, but what was the biggest seller for me is that the moisture stays! I only need to apply this a few times...
...

mandysue22 says "love the scent and its effectiveness" about Sunsilk Hydra TLC 24/7 Creme

I had this problem. After showering, I would blow dry my hair, and it would promptly frizz. Badly frizz! The conditioner I used during my shower was good, but not all that I needed. Someone suggested that I try a leave-in conditioner. After a bit of research on different products, I decided on Sunsilk's Hydra TLC. And I'm still using it, several years later!

A small amount of this creme goes a long way, so a single bottle of this awesomeness lasts me for about four months.

I use this creme while my hair is still wet from showering and swimming, and even those times when I get stuck outside in a torrential downpour. Most of the time, I choose to blow dry my hair after wards, but there have been a few occasions when I just applied the TLC hair creme and let it air dry. In both situations, this creme has been most excellent for restraining those frizzy lil bits of hair that want to stick out.
...

mandysue22 says "my fav shampoo since they discontinued my other fav one" about Herbal Essences Drama Clean Refreshing Shampoo 12 oz

Herbal Essences has long been my favorite brand of hair care products. A few years ago, they discontinued my favorite green shampoo...the one with scents and infusions of kiwi, kumquat, and fig. In my quest to discover a replacement, I came across another shampoo made by Herbal Essences - Drama Clean.

Sadly, I did not like the scent of Drama Clean's orange flower and berry tea as much as I liked "kiwi, kumquat, and fig." However, Drama Clean was equally effective in cleansing my hair. For some annoying reason, I was "blessed" with hair that is naturally oily, perfectly straight, and perpetually full. Herbal Essences hair care products have been an awesome help in taming my mane.

I almost wish my hair didn't require such a specific kind of shampoo because then I don't get a chance to read the fun facts on the different shampoo and conditioner bottles. :-) Thanks to Drama Clean, I now am fully aware of who I talk to most and what was a dirty word years ago in England.
...

mandysue22 says "great for school, very portable!" about Dell Inspiron 1525 Laptop

Each morning I get up and sit in my favorite chair and reach for this laptop. I love its sleek design as well as the color - my choice of ruby red. I ordered this Inspiron 1525 laptop several months ago during a special Dell promotion. It was slightly intimidating to be able to hand-pick the features I wanted, because honestly I don't know enough about computers to make an educated decision there. Thankfully, there were "Dell Recommended" options so my ordering experience was a positive one.

Okay, so then the laptop comes home! When I actually had it in my hands, I loved it even more! My sister who got an older Inspiron is officially jealous. I believe the screen is called a "true life" screen. Which basically means that the colors don't get all distorted when you move to the side. This makes it perfect for movie-watching with friends all crowded around!
...

mandysue22 says "amazing calculator seconds as an etch-a-sketch" about Texas Instruments - TI-89 Graphic Calculator

I used this calculator in my high school calculus class. The instruction manual is big enough to be a full-length novel, but if you take the time to read parts of it, you may be surprised at how many problem-solving steps this calculator can eliminate for you. And after performing the functions several times, they will become second-nature...I promise!

One of my personal favorite features was "Draw." During slow moments in my calc class, I would play! First I would graph a circle, then I would remove the grid and axes. The next step was employing the "draw" tool, and I would create a volleyball, a basketball, a soccer ball... I could insert text. Then I could save the graph, so I could show my calculating, also-bored-in-class friends later.
...

mandysue22 says "awesome quality and extremely comfortable!" about Skullcandy - Inkd Smokin Buds Earbuds

When I got a new iPod, I quickly discovered I needed more comfortable earbuds than the Apple earbuds that came standard with the iPod. A friend recommended Skull Candy. A local music store was able to hook me up with these earbuds. There were several different colors, not just the black pictured with this review. My brother got a rustic orange, while I chose a pretty dark red.

These Skull Candy earbuds are incredibly comfortable! I can listen to several one-hour lectures in a row, and at the end, my ears aren't aching like they would be with most earbuds.

I only have two negative things to say about them. First, they are truly noise-canceling! I love this when I am riding the city bus, but it's a little frustrating when I'm at home completely unaware that my sister is trying to talk to me. Secondly, there is a static noise whenever you bump or rub the cord. It was really annoying at first, but after a little while, I just got used to it like one would get used to their family room cuckoo...
...

mandysue22 says "amazing device keeps me company on bus rides" about Apple - iPod Classic Black Digital Media Player

I purchased the 80GB iPod Classic right after high school graduation after getting recommendations from several friends. The only bad thing I heard about this iPod is that it can take a few seconds for the album covers to load in the cover flow. And if that is truly the only wrong with it, I can surely manage to be patient!

I don't have any complaints about this device itself. I was impressed with both the audio and video quality. I have almost 2000 songs and a few dozen movies, and have yet to feel like I'm running out of space! Personally, the Apple earbuds that came with the iPod were really annoying. I would recommend buying Skull Candy noise-canceling earbuds.
...

mandysue22 says "My Olympus Stylus710 camera has a lot of cool features!" about Olympus - Stylus 710 Digital Camera

I got the Olympus Stylus 710 digital camera for my graduation gift from my parents. The size of the camera was perfect. It's small enough that it actually fits into my pockets without feeling ultra bulky. Before taking a picture, it usually takes me a while to decide which settings I want it on. There are so many to choose from! Recently I discovered the "Behind Glass" setting which enables me to take pictures out the window or through the glass of an aquarium without the glass causing a glare.

Once the picture is taken, there is a whole other set of features that enabled me to put frames around favorite pictures or insert the picture in a calendar or add text (predetermined sayings). So much fun!

The only thing I did not like about the camera was that I could not take a photo in black and white. However, once the picture was taken, I could change it to be black and white.
...

mandysue22 says "With the MotorolaW490 as my first phone I was sorta disappointed" about Motorola - W490 Cell Phone

I spent my high school years waiting to graduate so I could get that promised cell phone. And I got it! My dad let me choose the color for my Motorola W490 phone; green was my choice. I excitedly learned all the features I could on the ride home.

However, within a few days, I discovered a flaw. My particular phone could not send pictures I took via a multimedia message. Whether the fault lies with Motorola or T-Mobile, I don't know for sure. But I do know this: the headaches I managed to survive while trying to rectify the problem are not something I would wish on anyone. After an hour of over-the-phone tech support and a half-hour at the T-Mobile booth at the mall, my phone still cannot sent picture messages.

If you're feeling really good about life and you think you're strong enough to take on a possible nightmare, buy this phone and the supplementing T-Mobile plan! If you are looking for something more reliable, avoid the Motorola W490 at all costs. My experiences have only been...
...

mandysue22 says "The Madison has so many unique features at an affordable price!" about Husqvarna Viking Madison

When considering a new sewing machine that would meet the needs of my growing seamstress business, my grandma recommended looking at the Husqvarna Viking section at Joann Fabrics. Both my grandma and I were drawn to one machine - the limited edition Madison. It had a simple, sleek look to it, and it was so easy to use! The saleslady informed me that the Madison was the first ever machine that would never have to be oiled. I was particularly impressed with the 5-step buttonhole, while my grandma kept raving about the choice of stitches. Both of us were amazed at how affordably-priced it was.

Since the Madison was a limited edition model from 2006, it may be nigh impossible to get your hands on one. But if you ever, EVER have the chance to purchase one, do! The Madison will be well worth the investment!
...
