mandolinsrule says "a great place to start, for healthy or ethnic" about Dannon All Natural Plain yogurt

I tried this product first as a starter ingredient for several Indian dishes--you add cilantro, garlic, ginger, & spices to it then marinate chicken in it before grilling. It's also the base for a really great salad made by chopping tomato & cucumber, then adding to the yogurt along with ground cumin. This is a really healthy base for sauces & is good as a topping for baked potato. Also consider adding some powdered sugar and using as a dip for fruit....

mandolinsrule says "food from childhood but you can jazz it up" about Kraft Macaroni and Cheese

This dish, when prepared according to package directions, is fairly bland and uninteresting but you can make it into a quick meal by adding chopped ham, chicken, or turkey, then just use your imagination to make it complete--try chopped broccoli, some tomato, or bell pepper and onion. You can also augment the flavor by adding some grated Parmesan or Provolone, or try adding some smoky Cheddar....

mandolinsrule says "simply the best one on the market" about Marie Callender's Chicken Pot Pie White Meat Chicken

In college my husband & i ate chicket pot pies by Banquet because they were easy and cheap. But after I found these I never bought the other kind again. These are pricier but when you taste them you'll understand why. The crust is thicker and flakier, the filling contains lots more chicken and vegetables and the flavor is much more intense. Only down side is the caloric content but if you save them for a night when you need something quick you'll be OK....

mandolinsrule says "just as great as when you were little" about General Mills Cheerios

I've been enjoying cheerios since about 1955. Now that I'm grown I still like them; I prefer cereal that isn't full of marshmallows, bits of this and that. Cheerios have stood the test of time. They have been credited with helping to lower cholesterol. They are one of the first foods babies learn to eat with their fingers. General Mills should have quite while they were ahead, however, & left the fruity hard bits out of the fruit-flavored varieties....

mandolinsrule says "decadence in a bottle" about Godiva White Chocolate Liqueur

This is a great drink--either by itself or added to ice cream, coffee or anything else you can dream up. Really fabulous when drunk from an edible chocolate liqueur cup! There are other chocolate liqueurs out there but this one is the best, I think. Godiva has some great recipes and you can sometimes find them near the item at the liquour store. Try it stirred into coffee ice cream and topped with a splash of Hershey's syrup or poured over vanilla ice cream and topped with crushed Andes mints....
