I've tried at least 7 times in less than 2 wks to fly Alaska Air on a guest pass. It just so happens that several airlines had discontinued or cancelled services all in that same 2 wk period. My loss. But I'm sure if I had been able to fly Alaska Air, it would have been a good experience. Most of the agents taking care of business with Alaska Air were helpful and knew what they were doing. A few seemed not to care. Kudos to those who made my unfortunate delay easier to handle. Thank You!...

New York City, New York is a great experience. It's busy, it's crowded, it's a melting pot. I was a little disappointed as I walked the streets. It had a stench and the trash just spilled out over the sidewalks. However, it was my first trip and hope it's not my last trip to the city in the BIG APPLE.

I was overwhelmed by the crowd as I got out of Penn Station. It's like in the movies. The taxis were an awesome sight. The streets were covered in yellow.

You're not far from the Empire State Building, the news building, Time Square, the Knicks' court, shopping, shopping, shopping.

New York City is a shoppers' haven. Make sure you come to the city with money be it cash, check, or plastic. You can't help but buy, buy, buy. OH, and make sure you have walking shoes or hail a yellow cab.

Not a place to drive if you've never driven in a big city. Walking is faster.

So to the Statue of Liberty. A hard place to find if you're not a New Yorker.
