mamafromcharleston says "So great - so convenient" about Medela Pump in Style Breast Pump

When my son was born, he couldn't latch properly to breast feed but I knew how important breast milk was to him, and being a first time mom had thought that I was only going to BF occasionally, had gotten a manual breast pump... I used it for 48 hours and man did my arm hurt... my first trip out after that was to the nearest Target store to get myself an electric breast pump.... I picked the Medela Pump in Style for 3 reasons, it was compact and could travel well, it had great recommendations and it looked simple to use! I was right on all three... it travelled with us all over the place as I pumped in airports, motels and right at home too... we had even opted to get the car attachment, so I pumped there too! If you are an on-the-go mommy who needs an electric breast pump, I would highly recommend this one... or the newer version - the backback that wasn't available when I bought mine, but makes so much sense!
...

mamafromcharleston says "I have a new sweetner for my Tea" about PureVia All Natural Zero Calorie Sweetener

I have a new sweetner for my Tea... It's Pure Via -- and since I drink more than a pot of tea a day, this is really helping me keep my promise to myself to cut unncessary calories from my diet. In hot tea, there is no after taste, no difference in taste to distinguish it from sugar. The individual packets are convenient to ensure that I get just the right amount of sweetner... although I would prefer to buy it in bulk and measure my own. I would love to try this product in baking and other uses... but right now I am hoarding the package I have for my tea. I definitly feel this is a viable new option to replace sugar in my diet.

mamafromcharleston says "not my fave cream cheese ever, but good and tasty" about Kraft - Philadelphia Spinach & Artichoke Cream Cheese Spread

I'm a classic cream cheese kind of girl... preferring to accent flavored crackers pr bagels with great plain cream cheese or occasionally stepping up to onion and chive... this tasted a little overwhelming and dominated the snacks... I finally settled on plain pita as an accompaniment and it worked ok. I used up the last of it as a filling for a stuffed chicken and my daughter loved it that way - would buy it again for that purpose, but for snacking I'm a classic philly girl...
...

mamafromcharleston says "The server was great, the food was good, we would go back!" about Olive Garden Italian Restaurant: All Locations - North Charleston, SC

Our family went out to celebrate our daughter's 11th birthday and she is a pasta person! We hadn't been to Olive Garden since their menu makeover and were pleasantly surprised that there were healthy choices and low carb choices on the menu.

The server was attentive and our meals were served in a timely manner, and they were also really good with our two year old and accomodating of our needs. The meal was reasonably priced and everyone had more than enough food - and lunch the next day.
...

mamafromcharleston says "Love it!!! I'm an addict" about Coca-Cola - Diet Coke with Lime

I tried to switch to a less expensive brand of diet soda to save money - but it wasn't worth it... so now I just hoard cases of Diet Coke with Lime every time our local supermarkets put it on sale...

There is no comparison
...

mamafromcharleston says "My son plays wtih this toy for hours!" about Discovery Toys Hammer Away!

My son played with the Hammer Away from Discovery Toys at a friend's house for over an hour at 12 months! I was hooked and had to buy him one - its colourful and made to last and the kids have a blast while they work on their hand-eye coordination and gross motor skills while playing with this tugboat. He still plays with it daily and it looks brand new over one year later!...

The Bee Bop Band keeps my son busy for hours! Contained in the drum are several other instruments that can be played and played with in many different ways! On top of actually using the drum for music, my son also likes to spin the top of the drum and use some of the toys for imagination play as well......

mamafromcharleston says "It was great when we bought it, but lacks features of new models" about Garmin - Nuvi 350

The Garmin Nuvi 350 was great when we first bought it - and is still a good model today - it gets us from place to place with an easily readable display and excellent choices for voices. It came preloaded with extras that we never use - an MP3 Player and language dictionary... only really good if you're planning to travel away from home...
What I do love about the Garmin platform is that it is integrated with shopping, lodging, community places and more. I love being able to find a bank or a post office when I'm out of town or just scan for places to see and things to do as we drive along the interstates...
WHat I would upgrade for... voice commands, real time overhead signs on highways and integrated traffic management capabilities. The one other thing I would love to see is realistic distances over time (including the potential lights) and also a pop-up of the speed limit for any given road.
...

mamafromcharleston says "Saves space and is so easy to keep clean!" about Fisher-Price Space Saver High Chair

I love this highchair so much I bought a second one to leave at my parents! It's great because it cleans really easily and the seat padding is machine washable for those big spills. I love that it has both an adjustable seat and arms! The Fisher-Price Space Saver High Chair is a cost effective and space saving option when you don't want the expense and loss of floor space with a regular model. My son regularly falls asleep in it after lunch because it is so comfy! The tray fits into my dishwasher without any problems....
