The Vet told me it was because I was feeding him a food that contained vegetable protein not animal protein. Apparently dogs have a harder time absorbing vegetable protein than animal protein. The Vet gave me 3 or 4 options of high quality food containing animal protein. I chose Eukanuba because it was the only one of my choices that contained teeth cleaning ingredients.
