http://www.viewpoints.com/aboutme/maestramuse Mon, 19 Nov 2007 20:59:19 GMT Reviews by maestramuse http://www.viewpoints.com/KB-StriVectin-SD-review-b28c2 I'm a beauty industry professional.  I've been a makeup artist, stylist and esthetician for 11 years.  I was part timing at Nordstroms, managing the Clinique counter when this came out.  All cosmetics employees were given a free tube.  I was living in Santa Barbara, CA at the time and spending lots of time at the beach.  I had just turned 30 and was starting to see fine lines around my eyes.  This product was wonderful for me.  I should have sun damage, but I dont.  The fine lines went away and two small scars on my forehead diminished.  Alas, the tube ran out and I cried as I cut it open to scrape out the last precious drops.  135.00 is a lot of money and I havent been able to bring myself to burchase another tube. I don't mind paying for good products, but that is out of my range. I've decided to go ahead and try the generic version.  I'll let you know how that works out.... Mon, 19 Nov 2007 20:59:19 GMT http://www.viewpoints.com/KB-StriVectin-SD-review-b28c2 maestramuse 5 http://www.viewpoints.com/Pantene-Pro-V-Shampoo--117097-review-67a51 I've been a hairstylist for 11 years.  I've tried most everything out there.  I can read an ingredients label and tell you what it all means.  The pantene product line is full of waxes, silicones and other coating and filling agents.  The detergent agent in it is no better than Dawn!  The waxes and silicones coat the hair shaft, giving the illusion of shine and strength.  Over time however these build up on the hair causing it to look dull, limp and visibly broken off.  Perm solution and haircolor wont penetrate this coating.  I have to use a special enzyme treatment to remove the buildup before I can perform these services.  This is one of the worst products out there.... Mon, 19 Nov 2007 20:12:33 GMT http://www.viewpoints.com/Pantene-Pro-V-Shampoo--117097-review-67a51 maestramuse 1 http://www.viewpoints.com/Aveda-Damage-Remedy-Treatment-review-20b20 I'm a beauty professional.  I've been doing hair for 11 years and I've tried most of the professional lines out there.  This is the most user friendly, complete and quality lines I've ever worked with.  All the products work well together.  I often mix shampoos and conditioners together.  Same for styling products.  We call thics "cocktailing" in the salon.  The  fragrance is so luxurious.  Some items like the Damage Remedy are expensive, but its so concentrated that a little goes a long way.  I have fine, limp hair that is bleached.  I have to take extra care to keep it moisturized and styleable.  This is my favorite line....
