maddy says "Yum, yum, yum" about Vegetarian Dim Sum House - New York City, NY

This place won me over and I'm not even a vegetarian. The food is luscious. Even without meat, their law pak go (turnip cake) is among the best anywhere. Several varieties of fresh fruit juices are a welcome addition that most dim sum places don't offer. A large mixture of many kind of mushrooms served up in a bubble of tofu skin was pricey but worth every cent....

maddy says "The main library is world class, enough said." about New York Public Library - New York, NY

The New York Public Library's main branch is magnificent, and it's free, supported by contributions and endowments. A magnificent building, containing important collections on every area of research. Helpful librarians do the searching for you and bring books to you where you can search through them in quiet comfort and good lighting. Don't think of it as a lending library; it's a place to learn. The very atmosphere makes me feel privileged to be there....

maddy says "The cash returned isn't much, but better than none." about Discover - Credit Card

Okay, Discover isn't accepted every where, but it is accepted in enough places for me. I try to use it for larger expenses so I get more cash back. I have only used cash back to pay off my bill because it's most convenient. I don't want to deal with small checks arriving by mail. The little folding card was a nuisance and i don't ever use it, but carry the standard-size card.

...

maddy says "the only insurer i ever had in decades of car ownership." about Geico

Geico has been my insurer since my first car, almost 40 years ago. I would never consider switching. The only thing i don't like about them is their tv commercials, with that stupid lizard. I pay my premiums online now and the website is very easy to use, allowing me to change coverage at my convenience and order documents at my convenience.
...
