It was probably my best book purchase of the year I read the first book non stop and immediately ordered the rest of them an then waited impatiently for them to be delivered. They have great plots and fascinating characters, I have learned so much about the supernatural creatures and what makes them tick. I also love that Harry is a smart alec who doesn't back down from more powerful beings. The books of this series are a great read and I recommend them to anyone who likes a good read.... They combine Sci-fi elements with the everyday life of a barmaid. They do have some romantic elements but the romance is never the entire point of the book. I love these books and all the supernatural characters that they introduced me to.... Some of the characters are completely diffent than in the books but if you watch the show and you dont compare it to the books, it is a great series all by itself.
