lymesux says "Friends always forwarding chain emails? Read this!!" about Snopes

If you have friends or family like mine, when they get a 'chain' email they just automatically pass it on to their whole address book. So many of these emails sound very fishy to me. I remember one where certain Internet sites were donating money for a child with brain cancer - all you have to do is forward this email to all your friends, they would donate a certain amount of money per email forward.

How many of you ever received an email like that? Well I researched this on Snopes.com and found out it was 'false' - an urban legend by email standards. Boy would I have felt silly forwarding that email to my whole address book. I copied the information from Snopes.com and sent it to my friend who had forwarded the email.

Now, every email that sounds 'odd' but could be true, I will look up on Snopes.com and 9 chances out of 10, they are Urban Legends. But once in a while they are true, and I am so glad that I went to Snopes.com.

I share this information all of the time with people who......

lymesux says "My 15 Favorite Movies of All Time" about My Top Movies- Favorite 15

This is a subject that I could write very much about. I have a very diverse taste in movies. Most of the movies that I have seen in the Theatre have been ''kid' or 'Family' movies and usually I go thinking I will be bored, but MANY of these movies have caught my attention.

I like good characters, good plot (but it does not have to be believable, love a fantasy or a romantic comedy. The characters and plot just have to suck you in - make you forget you are in a theatre (or home watching a rental), just make you feel like you are part of the movies.

Its hard for me to pick only 15 movies as so many have touched me in some way. But I will try anyway!!

1. Harry Potter Saga
2. The Big Chill
3. Dirty Dancing
4. When Harry Met Sally
5. Forrest Gump
6. The Wizard of OZ
7. Shrek trilogy
8. A Beautiful Mind
9. Gladiator
10. LA Confidential
11. American Beauty
13. Lord of the Rings Trilogy
14. Godfather Trilogy
15. What Women Want

I think there is one or two on here that......

lymesux says "Happiness from the moment the movie started!!" about Hairspray

I saw this movie the first time on a whim with a friend, we did not know what to be prepared for. What a surprise it was that from the moment the movie started until the ending credits, we were laughing, crying, singing and just plain enjoying ourselves immensely.

I have loved many of John Travolta's movies but never have I seen him as an aging plump woman!! His character was afraid to leave the house because 'she' had gained so much weight, and Travolta played this perfectly. But by the end of the movie he was singing and dancing - just as if this was an aging plump but very graceful woman.

Nikki Blonsky is incredlibly perfect in her first movie, her voice is beautiful, same with her facial expressions and her dancing. She has amazing chemistry with Zac Efron's character, I just wanted to watch them keep on dancing.

I loved 'Negro Day' when the blacks were allowed to dance on the show - Queen Latifah was perfect for the role. When Nikki Blonsky said 'I wish every day was Negro...
...
