lwiggins says "Looking for something uniquely handmade - find it at Kabibi Mei!" about Kabibi Mei - Colorado Springs, CO

Seriously - this place is cool! This is a unique and quaint little shop nestled in between Old Colorado City and downtown Colorado Springs. Cory Parkey owns this shop and has over 50 different vendors selling handmade goods. Every corner is used to display jewelry, soaps, blankets, paintings, scrapbooking supplies, clocks, pot holders, you name it she has it! There is also something at Kabibi Mei for every budget - items start as low as $2 and go up to several hundred.

I think this place it great because it allows local crafters/vendors to sell their products to you and me! Stay at home moms, teachers, students, full time crafters, all get a chance to make their mark. A lot of the products are also made from recycled (or upcycled as the cool kids call it) materials - so you are supporting the green revolution!

This is the perfect place to take out of town guests who want a Colorado souvenier, but not a cheesy t-shirt!
...

lwiggins says "Great deep muscle massage at De' Massaggios!" about Carrie Lance, LMT - De' Massaggios - Colorado Springs, CO

I have had a handful of massages in my time, and the one I had by Carrie at De' Massaggios was the best! She worked out every kink and knot! She was very thorough and even asked me before moving on to other parts of the body to make sure I felt better. Her space was well set up - very relaxing with low lighting and soft music.

My only complaints would be that the "spa" is not in a very great part of town and right above a care repair place. But once I was inside I got over it, just getting to it had me kind nervous. Also, Carrie is a talker, which I don't like while getting a massage. However, I have other friends who go to her and they just tell her they want peace and quiet and she gives it to them.

Overall, very happy, great massage at a great price!
...

lwiggins says "The Dale Street Cafe is a quaint restaurant with great food!" about Dale Street Cafe - Colorado Springs, CO

My husband and I have eaten at this bistro twice now and just love it! It is perfect if you are looking for something a little different - not the typical chain or the noisy bar. This Cafe is in an old house on Dale Street (West of Platte and East of Bijou downtown). Their menu includes pasta, fish, steak, salads, and soups. The food is very good and the service is right on. Last time we went we were able to sit next to the fireplace, it was very romantic! They also have 3 course meal specials - soup or salad, a selection of many dishes, and then a choice of dessert - for around $15. We had the creme brulee and were beside ourselves! Mouthgasmic as my husband would say. I strongly recommend checking this place out if you are looking for a new restaurant in Colorado Springs!
...

lwiggins says "I always recommend my friends to Dr. Doyle - he is the BEST!" about Dr.David Doyle - Springs Chiropractic - Colorado Springs, CO

I have been a patient of Dr. Doyle's for about 5 years now. He truly provides exceptional care. He is very knowledgable in all things concerning the body - nutrition, exercise, tradtional medicine, etc. He has a wonderful personality and makes you feel like you are the only person that matters. I see him for preventitve care, meaning I go about once a month just to keep things aligned and working properly. However, he is not one of those chiropractors who will put you on a 2 year program to keep you coming back. Your are in charge of your treatment. I also take my kids to see Dr. Doyle, he is great with them and they actually look forward to seeing the doctor! I give you my word that you won't be dissappointed! He is gentle and thorough!
...

We purchased our Kenmore ECO Washer and Dryer about 6 years ago and these things just don't quit! I love having a front loading washer, it allows me to really take advantage of the capacity. The dryer is an energy saver and will shut off early if it detects that the clothes are dry.

I don't think you can go wrong with a Kenmore!
...

lwiggins says "Feel skinny in the Shaped Fit jeans by Eddie Bauer!" about Eddie Bauer Shaped Fit Jeans

These jeans are great for girls with curves! They are a size smaller in the waist than they are in the hips. This gives you the room you need in all the right places, without that annoying gap at the back of the waist. Once you try on these jeans you will never look anywhere else!...

lwiggins says "Physician's Formula missed the mark!" about Physicians Formula Organic Wear 100% Natural Origin Tinted Moisturizer

I am a fan of the Pysician's Formula brand, but was not nearly as impressed with this product as I have been with others. While the coverage is good, it left my skin feeling slightly greasy. It doesn't have a natural feel or smell. The non-organic counterpart is much nicer. Hope they can work out the kinks - cuz I would love to continue helping the enviroment and improving my complexion!...

I love Hyland's because I don't have to worry about negative effects of other medications. (Have you heard that Ibroprofen causes internal bleeding?!). My kids take these easily, they taste good, and they helped alleveate their teething pain....

I love my Britax Roundabout! I have used this brand with each of my kids. As soon as they graduated from an infant carrier I put them in this seat and they stayed until they graduated to a booster. It is a very safe seat and well worth the investment!...
