Grand Princess is a beautiful ship however it is not meant for families. If you're looking for a great cruise experience and you're retired, go on this ship. It's more seen as an older cruise line just like Holland America is. Although it has a game room for the kids, it really is not a great cruise for many activities. Many of the shows were not that interesting and not really entertaining. I slept through some of them and got up through some of them. However, on a plus side, the ports of call are really exotic and very beautiful. The size of the cabins including the bathroom is not that big, but then again most of them aren't. I guess the price value is ok.The food was just ordinary, not really fine dining. Although, I never tried the private upscale restaurant, so I don't know how that experience was. Overall, out of 5 stars I give Grand Princess somewhere between the range of 2.9-3.2.

...
