lucyruder says "Nice people, but not very competent." about Fifth Third Bank - Lake City, MI

Opened a new account for money market checking. Was told rate would be 3.81%. Quarterly statement, but checked balance after one month and discovered I never got one day of interest at over 2.51%. Never got any paperwork regarding the account. I was so angry about the horrible interest rate, I decided to take the money to another bank. I closed the account and was charged $25 for closing it before 6 months was up. Then to top it off, after 3 weeks, I didn't receive my checks. Come to find out, they forgot to order them. I found the people there to be very nice, but not able to perform their jobs. A very disappointing experience. When I tried to file a complaint with the main office, it was not possible. I had to call an 800 number and no one ever returned my call....

lucyruder says "Poor quality, poor warrenty" about Sunbeam Flourecent Light Bulbs

I purchased all flourecent light bulbs to replace my incandecent ones. I used one in my brand new kitchen range hood and 2 in my brand new bathroom light. The hood bulb blew out at only 6 months. The bathroom, blew at 7 months. Each had a 5 year warrenty. I had problems reaching the company, as the Sunbeam website was not the right place. I received a phone number to call, but I had to call only during business hours. I finally reached someone at that number and they spoke very poor english. She said they were covered under the warrenty, but I had to return the bulbs for a refund of my purchase price. It costs $4.60 to return them and get my $2.00 back! Also, these bulbs wouldn't fit in any of my overhead fixtures. Now I have no way to dipose of the bulbs, as they contain mercury. Wish I hadn't wasted my time and money on these. Now they will be floating around my garage forever....

lucyruder says "Good product, but wonderful customer service." about Peerless Faucet Single handle tub/shower faucet P8700

This faucet was of average quality and cost. Bought it because it was on sale and available locally. All was average, until I had a problem. The main water unit began to leak right away. I called the 800 number and was really taken care off. No hold time, talked to a real person who spoke english!! The unit I bought was out of stock, but since it was warranteed, they sent me a brand new unit, no shipping cost, no nothing!! GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE dept. I will always buy Peerless products!...

lucyruder says "Great looking, very functional!" about Plumber's Collection two handle kitchen faucet 63114

A great buy. Good looking, modern style. Has a white sprayer. Comes with 2 sets of handles, one in white and one in light or golden oak. I love the high rise design. Can get huge pans and canners under it easily. Great water saving nozzle. Quite inexpensive for what you get. Easy to install....

lucyruder says "A terrific range hood for not much money!" about NuTone range hood - Economy RL6200

Wonderful hood for a cheap price. 2 speed fan, single light, and 2 colors. No exterior vent needed. Easy to install! Less than $40.00 out the door. The only bad thing is there is no outlet. The exterior paint is a little thin, too. Scraped the side up installing it. Doesn't show, but another coat wouldn't have hurt. Would recommend....

lucyruder says "You get what you pay for." about American Weather Seal Replacement windows

Lower end of the $ scale, but worth just what we paid. We didn't want to order and wait for delivery, so took standard sizes available from our local lumber yard. Easy to install, but don't seal very well. Leak some air and the tracks fill with water because of condensation on the insides. Installed as the instructions said, but some of the screens will not come out. Not too happy with these, but You Get What You Pay For....

lucyruder says "Great fridge for the price" about Estate TT18TKXPQ Top Freezer Refrigerator

Very nice fridge for the price. I was looking for a lower cost fridge to use for 1 year and then leave in the home at the time it sells. I may take this with me after all. The space is perfect. Nice, easy to clean glass shelves. The entire inside of the fridge will come out easily for cleaning. 3 vegie drawers are vented. The door shelves are extra deep. Great textured outside. The only bad part of the fridge is that it is 29 inches wide. That would be great, except that I thought it would fit in a 30 inch space. The space is against a wall and I couldn't get the door open in a 30 inch spot. Had to readjust the cabinetry to get the door open. Also, the exterior paint is very thin and I scraped up the side just sliding it into space. Didn't come with a freezer shelf either. Just a small ledge. Overall, for the price, it is terrific...

lucyruder says "Terrific for it's size!! " about Haier Washer - Top Load HLP21E

This is a terrific appliance for people who live in a small place. My husband and I live in a 620 square foot cottage and this washer is so great for a small area. It is square, so will fit in a 17 inch by 17 inch space. I placed it at the end of my kitchen counter, so it looks like part of the kitchen. Good looking, easy to use. Holds from 5-7 items. Less jeans, more t-shirts). Great for one or two people. Has a fast cycle, which saves time and water, but washes clothing clean. I have owned this washer for about 2 months and love it. (Sure beats that run to the laundry mat!!) The only bad part I found is that it doesn't come with wheels. I ordered it from Walmart.com and I couldn't find the wheel kit on the site to order it separately either. The other thing th\at is negative is that when I was jeans, the basket is never level when it spins out. I have to readjust the clothing inside and try spinning again. Not a big deal, just a little inconvenient. It was double boxed for delivery, which......
