lpolzin23 says "Graco Swings are Great" about Graco 2 speed

As a stay-at-home mom of four I have to be budget wise. When I needed to replace my baby swing between child two and child three I bought a Graco 2 speed swing second hand for twenty dollars. It was money well spent. The swing is well designed with no bar overhead to bump baby's head on. The seat reclines back and there are three positions to choose from. When baby is younger the seat can recline fully back, and then as baby learns to sit up you can adjust the seat into a sitting position. The seat cover is a nice neutral color and comes off for easy washing, which as any parent knows is a must have. There are two speeds to use, high and low, and it takes batteries so there is no winding. Also, there are two toys on the seat tray to help entertain baby. The toys do come off for better cleaning, but it's not the easiest thing to do. The only issue I have with the swing is my babies reached out, grabbed the bars, and stopped the swing. I thought it may be an unusal thing when my third did...
...

lpolzin23 says "Head and Shoulders Citrus Breeze is a product you can count on" about Head & Shoulders Dandruff Shampoo Citrus Breeze

I started using Head and Shoulders Citrus Breeze because I received a free sample in the mail. I'm cheap, so I tried it and have loved it ever since. In fact, I even pay full price for this shampoo when I usually buy either on sale or generic. That says a lot about the quality of it! The shampoo actually comes in several different scents but I am partial to citrus ones. Plus it seems like the citrus shampoos do a better job of cleaning my hair. The shampoo does a very good job of cleaning my hair without leaving a residue or stripping too much of the natural oil out of my hair. I have very long hair and other products dry out the ends of it. Since it is a dandruff type of product, it also does a very good job of cleaning off my scalp. I have very dry skin and Head and Shoulders Citrus Breeze seems to do a very good job of cleaning my scalp and taking care of the dry skin issues. In a nutshell this is a product I would recommend.
...

lpolzin23 says "Ford Windstar is a Star!" about Ford Windstar Cargo - 2003

I purchased my Ford Windstar brand new and haven't regretted it since. Over 70,000 miles and still running great, knock on wood! I did my research before the purchase and found one with only the options I wanted. One of those options was dual climate control. With the extended length of a minivan I think the dual climate control is a must. If you only have a front system, trying to cool or heat the back without freezing or scorching out the passengers in front is impossible. Ford could make some improvements to the climate control because it is difficult to regulate. I am always adjusting it. Another improvement Ford could have made was seat storage. I really like the idea of folding down the seat into a compartment, or even having seats that are easier to move would have been useful. If I want to take a seat out for more cargo storage I have to ask my husband to do it because the seats are too heavy for me to manage. Perhaps I'm a wimp! Overall I would buy a Windstar again and wish Ford...
...

lpolzin23 says "The FDB1050RE is a disappointment" about Frigidaire Dishwasher Built-in FDB1050RE

I moved to a new house a year ago and this dishwasher was there. I had a frigidaire built in at my old house so I didn't think much about it. I now wish I would have ripped out my old one and brought it with me! For whatever reason, the way this one is designed is not as useful. The rack design doesn't lend itself to filling it with dishes. On the top rack, there is not enough space to put in bowls and if I try to put a bowl in each slot they are so close together they don't get clean. That means I have to skip a slot and that means less dishes getting cleaned. I have a large family and we make lots of dirty dishes. Another annoyances is the start button. I fill up the dishwasher, hit the start button and nothing happens. I check to make sure the door is securely shut, and it is. I twirl the selection dial and try again. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. I miss the days of being able to hit the start button and actually having my dishwasher start. I can't wait until I have the funds...
...

lpolzin23 says "The Dell XPS 400 is an oldie but a goodie" about Dell XPS 400

Got this computer a few years ago and it is going strong. Managed to get a discount on it, which made it an even better purchase. I like that you can customize the computer when you order from Dell, which means I got what I wanted without having to pay for different things that I didn't want. I did make a mistake when I ordered this computer, though. I tried to be as cheap as possible and I decided to go with the standard speakers instead of upgrading. That was a mistake. I like to listen to a radio show that is broadcasted on the internet and the standard speakers don't have enough volume or quality to suit me, and I'm not one of those never satisfied people! Now to get the better speakers it would cost a lot more, since Dell offers discounts when you bundle things together. Also, with the age of the computer it is almost time to upgrade. Overall I was happy with this one. I have heard Dell horror stories from some of my friends about ordering issues, but I was happy.
...

lpolzin23 says "A definate must have for new parents" about Boppy Pillow

As a mother of four children there are many things I have spent money on and regretted. This is not one of them. In fact, when I had my first two children the boppy wasn't on the market yet. With my third, I decided to do without. I finally paid the price for the Boppy for my fourth and I don't regret it one bit. It has made breast feeding SO much easier. My baby is comfortable, and so am I. No more stressed sholder muscles or squishing up pillows. The Boppy is the perfect height and shape. When my baby was an infant I did wish the Boppy was a bit plumper to get baby up to a higher height, but now that baby is older it is perfect. The cover choices are varied so there is something surer to please the pickiest purchaser. Also, it makes a great head pillow if you are lounging on the floor and playing with baby or watching TV. My baby also enjoyed sitting in the middle of it when first learning to sit up, to avoid bumps. Overall a great product that I would recommend.
...

lpolzin23 says "Great if you are looking to party" about Central Michigan University

Central was the second institute of higher education that I attended, the first being Oakland University. In comparision, Central had much more of a social scene than OU could ever have. There was always an activity going on, or a party to be found. Academically, OU kicked Central's butt. The classes at Central were not nearly as challenging, or as useful. The class size was much larger, and the professors didn't seem to care. I'm a serious student and had issues with some of the policies at Central. The dorms were nice and the cafeteria food okay. The town Central is located in is very nice and it's a safe area. Overall, if you are looking for an academic challenge, Central is probably not the school for you. However, if you are looking for a well rounded school, with a good social scene and okay classes, then Central may be what you are looking for. I know several people that graduated from Central and loved it. It was not the school for me.
...

lpolzin23 says "Evenflo took a wrong turn with this one" about Evenflo Snugli Comfort Vent Soft Carrier

My littlest baby loves to be held. In fact we've actually nicknamed her "Monkey" because she never wants to be put down! I had a slightly different Evenflo snugli that I had purchased 5 years ago for an older child and was unable to find it. Since I remembered that I had purchased an Evenflo product and hadn't spent a lot for it I thought this was the same thing. Boy was I wrong! The criss crossed straps on this one cut into my back and was extremely uncomfortable. After trying to wear it for an afternoon around the house I boxed it up and returned it. I looked on ebay until I found the older style, that had back pack straps with a straight cross strap, and purchased that one for half the cost. Plus, the older style can be used as a front AND back carrier. I don't know why they don't offer it any more, but I would suggest searching second hand outlets and buying the older model verses buying the new style.
...

lpolzin23 says "Graco makes great infant seats" about Graco SnugRide

I have several children and when my infant car seat became too old to safely use I shopped for a while before making a purchase. I finally settled on a Graco Snugride because of the positive safety ratings, reviews from previous purchasers, price, and pattern selection. Graco ranked high on all of those requirements. I paid a bit more for a seat that was adjustable from the front and it was well worth it. The belts are easy to by simply pushing a button and pulling the straps out as baby grows. There is one thing I would like to see changed. Babies are getting bigger and bigger and car seat manufactures should keep up with the trends by making their seats safer for bigger babies. I would love to have an infant seat that can be used up to 25 pounds instead of the 20 pounds. My baby will probably be bigger than 20 pounds before she is a year old and I will need to keep her facing backwards. It's difficult to find a seat that fits all of my requirements for a price I am willing to pay.
...

lpolzin23 says "Oakland University is a quality school" about Oakland University

I started at Oakland Univeristy, MI, went to a few other schools, and then ended up finishing up at Oakland University. Overall, I feel like I got a good education and positive life experiences. If you are looking for the traditional go to college experience with tons of dorm life, OU is probably not for you. Most of the students at this university, aproximately 80%, do not live on campus. The school is conviently located to many larger towns and students from those areas live at home and communte to school to save on costs. The result of this is not as much dorm life. OU is taking steps to offset this and there are a few fraternities or sororities present if that is what you are looking for. OU also offers scholarships to encourage students to participate in different organizations and clubs. On the negative side, I had to monitor my requirements for graduation very carefully because the guidance counsolers were known to make errors that resulted in graduation delays. Also - getting the...
...

lpolzin23 says "If you are looking for a quality camera, this is the one for you" about Canon - EOS 350D/Rebel XT SLR Digital Camera

Two years ago I took a trip to Alaska and wanted a good camera without a good price. I did a bunch of research on the internets and based on price and reviews bought the Canon Rebel. The price was a bit steeper than I originally wanted, but since it was the trip of a life time I took the plunge. I have not regretted the decission one bit. Because of the large megabite size I was able to enlarge photos without losing resolution. In fact, in some of the photos I took of a grizzly bear you can see a lot of the details and I took the photo at quite a distance, which I'm sure you can believe. I did opt to get an additional zoom lense for the camera and if you choose to do that, go ahead and pay for the stablizer. Probably my only complaint about the camera, and the reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5, is the built in flash. I use the automatic setting on the camera and the flash washes people out. One day I'll have to learn how to use the manual settings to adjust it, but for the time being...
...
