lorraine8 says "Friendly To Nontraditional Students" about The University of Texas at El Paso

UTEP holds my respect for its flexibility and being friendly to those of us who are working full time and finishing school. A good portion of the student population are non-traditional students, so the university goes above and beyond to offer courses at night. The professors had high expectations of their students, however, many were also very encouraging and willing to cheer us on when demands of work and family were becoming too much for us to handle. We were not babied through our college career, but we were encouraged and heard. I was blessed to have received my bachelor's degree from UTEP and have been able to move on to a Master's degree there. I tried an on-line course study at another university for my Master's degree and boy, was it a big disaster. Unlike UTEP professors, I dealt with arrogance, a lack of understanding, and a lack of help whenever I had any questions. Not to mention the huge chunk of cash I had to pay per class. I would not trade the experience I had here,......

lorraine8 says "Amazingly good at preventing litter odor." about Arm & Hammer Kitty litter

One of the drawbacks of having more than one cat is the kitty litter. The Arm and Hammer Kitty Litter is the only brand that really clumps well and keeps the litter from getting too smelly. I paired it up with the Arm and Hammer Litter Deodorizer and we were smell free. Scooping was easy and the clumps did not break up into pieces as I scooped. Very good product, and reasonably priced. One drawback, the new spout was harder to use. It did not stay open and I had to pry open the flap as I poured, getting litter all over my hands and in my nails. I finally gave up and tore it off....

lorraine8 says "Handy Wipes For Small Jobs" about Lysol Sanitizing Wipes - All Scents

Lysol Sanitizing Wipes are good for picking up small messes. You get more wipes than the Clorox Sanitizing wipes (or at least it looked that way to me). They also stay wet and don't dry up as quickly as regular wipes. However the squares are kind of small compared to the Kirkland's brand I buy at Costco, which are thicker and have texture. Overall, these wipes are pretty good....

lorraine8 says "Grease City!" about McDonalds Southern Style Chicken Sandwich

I ate the McDonald's Southern Style Chicken Sandwich when it was free. It was my first and last time. The taste was good, but I could not get over the oozing grease every time I bit into it. It was as if they had dunked the chicken patty into the fry oil! Stick to the Chicken McNuggets they taste better and are less greasy....

lorraine8 says "Poodle Hair No More" about Frizz Ease Hair Serum Extra Strength Formula

I have waged a battle with my curly hair for many years. I love the look and feel of straight hair and have spent more than the $4.00 the Frizz Ease serum cost, to get my hair straight and keep it that way. Although the bottle is small, a few drops are enough to help keep my hair straight, even on recent monsoon season days when the humidity was higher than what I'm normally accustomed to. It also worked surprisingly well when I left my hair wet and let it dry to its natural curl. One drawback to this however, was that my hair got frizzy towards the end of the day and my curls lost their boingyness. Also, I had to make sure I put it on wet hair, if my hair was damp or dry, I had a major greasy look, and it did not go on evenly....

lorraine8 says "Cute and Spacious" about Avon Holiday Train Case

I bought the travel case because I thought it looked cute. It not only is really cute, I was able to pack all of my cosmetics into it (and let me tell you I have a lot of them). I received a lot of compliments on the train case when I carried it with me on a recent road trip!...
